SBTPG shows funded but nothing in my Credit Karma account - anyone else?

Just checked and SBTPG is showing my refund as funded but there's nothing in my Credit Karma account yet. Normally these transfers are pretty seamless. Anyone else experiencing delays with Credit Karma deposits this tax season? I'm not overly concerned yet, but would like to know if this is a pattern or just my situation.

This happened to me last year. SBTPG showed funded but took about 36 hours before it actually hit my bank account. They process in batches and sometimes there's a delay between when they mark it as sent and when your bank actually receives and posts it. I'd give it at least 1-2 business days before getting too concerned.

But doesn't Credit Karma usually post deposits faster than traditional banks? I thought that was one of their selling points. Or is SBTPG the bottleneck regardless of which bank you use?

Thanks for explaining this! I've been wondering how the whole process works. Is there any way to track it between SBTPG and Credit Karma, or are we just in the dark during that transfer period?

Same thing happened with me. SBTPG website showed funded on Tuesday morning but didn't hit my Credit Karma until Thursday afternoon. If you check the SBTPG Facebook page there are always hundreds of comments about this exact issue every tax season. https://www.sbtpg.com/refund-status/ is supposed to be accurate but even their status updates lag behind.

It's like watching a package that says "delivered" but isn't actually at your door yet. I went through this exact situation last month and was pulling my hair out trying to figure out where my money was. I finally used https://taxr.ai to decode my transcript and it showed the exact refund path including when SBTPG received it from IRS. The system explained that SBTPG typically takes 24-48 hours to process even after showing "funded" status. Made the waiting game less stressful when I could see the exact timeline and where my money actually was in the process.

I'm seeing this issue discussed in several places online. May I ask when SBTPG marked your refund as funded? And did you perhaps file with TurboTax or another service that might use SBTPG as their bank processor?

I'm having the same issue and want to know: • Is this delay normal for Credit Karma specifically? • Does the SBTPG to Credit Karma transfer always take this long? • Has anyone contacted Credit Karma support about this?

Wow, I had no idea there were so many intermediate steps between the IRS and my bank account! I just assumed it was a direct transfer from the government. The whole system is way more complicated than I realized.

In my case, SBTPG showed funded at exactly 2:17pm on March 21st, and the money appeared in my Credit Karma account at 9:43am on March 23rd - exactly 43 hours and 26 minutes later. Their systems must batch process these transfers overnight because it wasn't a gradual process, it just suddenly appeared.

This is a common issue. SBTPG processes in batches. Credit Karma has its own processing time. If you need to contact IRS directly about your refund, try Claimyr. I used it last week. Got through in 15 minutes instead of hours. Agent confirmed my refund was sent to SBTPG correctly. Worth the small fee to avoid the frustration. https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c

I've been through this multiple times with SBTPG and different banks. Here's what's actually happening: 1. First, IRS approves and sends your refund to SBTPG 2. SBTPG receives it and marks it as "funded" in their system 3. SBTPG then deducts any fees you agreed to when filing 4. They initiate an ACH transfer to your bank (Credit Karma) 5. Credit Karma receives the ACH notification 6. Credit Karma processes and posts to your account Steps 3-5 can take 1-3 business days even though SBTPG shows "funded." The status just means they received it from the IRS, not that they've completed sending it to your bank.

I had this exact situation on April 2nd. SBTPG showed funded at 10am, but Credit Karma didn't show the deposit until April 4th at 3pm. SBTPG's "funded" status just means they've received the money from the IRS and are preparing to send it to your bank. In my experience with three different tax seasons using Credit Karma, there's always a 24-72 hour delay between SBTPG showing funded and the money actually appearing in your account.
