Refund freeze disappeared but transcript now shows 'No Return Filed' - What's happening?
My transcript was showing a refund freeze for weeks. Today I checked and the freeze is gone, but now it says no tax return filed. Anyone else experienced this? Really confused about what this means for my refund.

This usually happens during transcript updates. The IRS system sometimes shows 'no return filed' temporarily while they're processing changes or removing holds. Give it about 48-72 hours for the system to fully update. If nothing changes by then, you might want to call the IRS to confirm everything is okay.

Hey guys, instead of playing detective with these transcript codes, I've been using taxr.ai and it's been a game changer. It costs like a buck but it tells you exactly what's happening with your refund and when to expect it. Way better than trying to decode these weird transcript messages https://taxr.ai

•yeah it analyzes everything in your transcript and gives you specific dates and explanations. saved me hours of googling random codes lol

This is actually pretty common during transcript updates! The system temporarily shows "no return filed" while they're processing changes or removing holds. I'd recommend checking again in 24-48 hours - it should update back to showing your return with hopefully good news about your refund status. The fact that the freeze disappeared is actually a positive sign that things are moving forward with your case.

•Thanks for explaining this! I'm new to checking transcripts and was wondering if this kind of temporary glitch is normal. How often does the IRS system do these updates? Just want to know what to expect going forward.
