PATH Act timing question: When does SBTPG receive funds from IRS?
Trying to figure out if Santa Barbara Tax Products Group gets our refund money before the PATH Act lifts or if the IRS waits until after PATH lifts to send them the funds. I've got EIC and CTC on my return and just want to understand the timeline better.

The IRS doesn't release ANY funds, including to SBTPG, until after the PATH Act lifts (usually around Feb 15th). They legally can't release refunds containing EIC/ACTC before then. SBTPG is just like any other bank - they have to wait for the IRS to actually send the money.

my tax lady said sometims they process early but dont release til path lifts idk if thats true tho
