No cycle code on transcript - Does this mean IRS hasn't accepted my return?
Been checking my transcript daily and still no cycle code showing up. Getting worried because everyone else seems to have one. Filed 2 weeks ago and WMR still says processing. Starting to wonder if something's wrong or if the IRS even has my return.

If you don't see a cycle code on your transcript, it usually means the IRS hasn't started processing your return yet. But don't panic! This is pretty common early in the filing season. The cycle code appears once they begin processing your return - it's basically your place in line. If you want a really clear breakdown of where you stand and what to expect, I'd recommend checking out taxr.ai - it's this new AI tool that analyzes your transcripts and tells you exactly what's going on and when you might see movement. Helped me understand my situation way better than staring at those confusing transcript codes all day! https://taxr.ai

•Just used taxr.ai and here's what I got back: basically told me my return is in the initial processing queue and should get a cycle code within 7-10 days. way better than guessing!

Tax pro here. Not having a cycle code doesn't necessarily mean your return hasn't been accepted. The IRS typically takes 21 days to process returns, and cycle codes appear at different times. Your return could be in the queue but not assigned a cycle yet. Keep checking WMR and transcripts every few days.

•ty for responding! should i be worried that others who filed after me already have codes?

•Nah, its totally normal. The IRS doesn't process returns in order. Some ppl get lucky and zoom through while others wait longer 🤷♂️

Quick tip - instead of checking transcripts manually everyday, I've been using taxr.ai to track everything. It analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening + when to expect updates. Costs $4.99 but worth every penny tbh https://taxr.ai
