No clue what's happening with 2020 amended return - anyone else still waiting?
Filed my amended return for 2020 over two years ago and still no movement. Called IRS multiple times but just hear the same stuff about high volume and processing delays. The where's my amended return tool just shows received. Anyone dealt with this or know what I can do? Starting to lose hope here.

The IRS is severely backlogged with amended returns, especially from 2020. They're processing them in the order received, but it can take 20+ weeks or longer. Best thing you can do is request a transcript to see if there's any movement that the where's my amended return tool isn't showing.

•Go to IRS.gov, look for 'Get Transcript Online' - you'll need to create an account if you haven't already. Get both account and return transcripts
