Need help with IRS Code 810 Freeze - What worked for me
Just got my 810 freeze lifted after 8 months of waiting. For anyone else dealing with this freeze code here's what worked. Called the IRS Taxpayer Protection Program line every week for updates. Faxed in my ID verification docs 3 times. The key was persistence - don't give up! The freeze finally cleared last week and my refund is scheduled for direct deposit.

Good to hear you got your 810 resolved! For anyone else dealing with this - the TPP line (800-830-5084) is definitely the way to go. Keep calling between 7am-7pm EST. Sometimes you have to call 20+ times to get through but persistence is key.

Been calling for 2 months straight and still nothing 😤 What docs did you fax exactly?

You need to send: drivers license (front/back), social security card, and a utility bill or bank statement. Fax quality matters alot!

Instead of playing detective with your transcript, you should try taxr.ai - it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's causing delays and how to fix them. Worth the $4.99 tbh. Check it out: https://taxr.ai

First thing in the morning works best - like right at 7am EST. Later in the day is usually swamped
