I finally got through to someone at the IRS after waiting 205 days for my refund. Called the tax advocate number and refused to get off the phone until they transfered me to someone who could actually help. Had to be firm but polite. They kept trying to tell me to wait but I explained I was way beyond normal processing time and needed answers. Turns out there was a simple verification issue they could have fixed months ago 🙄
