Need help accessing IRS transcript - total newbie here
Been trying to check my transcript online but getting nowhere. Everyone keeps saying check your transcript but I have no idea what I'm doing. Can someone walk me through this? Starting to feel like an idiot tbh

Here's how to get your transcript: Go to IRS.gov, click 'Get Your Tax Record' at the top. You'll need to create an ID.me account if you haven't already - make sure you have your ID and phone ready for verification. Once logged in, choose 'Get Transcript Online' and select the transcript type you need (usually account transcript for refund status). The whole process takes about 15-20 minutes if you're setting up ID.me for the first time.
