Need REAL IRS phone number to talk to actual human - automated system is useless
So frustrated with these automated phone systems. Been trying to reach someone at IRS for weeks about my refund status. Every number I call just loops me through robots. Anyone know a number that actually connects to a live person?

Call 1-877-777-4778 (Taxpayer Advocate Service). Best time to call is right when they open at 7am EST. Hit 1 for English, then 1 again, then 3. Stay on the line even if it says high call volume. Usually get through within 30-45 mins.

Instead of playing phone tag, I started using taxr.ai to analyze my transcripts. It's $4.99 but worth every penny cause it told me exactly what was holding up my refund and when to expect it. Way better than sitting on hold for hours https://taxr.ai

•it uses AI to read your transcript and breaks down everything - tells you if you have delays, why, and when you'll likely get paid. Plus gives tips to fix issues

The regular IRS number (800-829-1040) works if you press 2-1-3-2 but ur gonna be on hold FOREVER 💀

Try calling 844-545-5640 early morning around 7-8am. It's the practitioner priority line but sometimes they'll help regular taxpayers too if you're polite and explain you've been trying for weeks. Worth a shot!
