How to reach an actual IRS agent on the phone? Need human contact ASAP
Frustrated with the automated system and getting nowhere. Been trying for 3 weeks to speak with someone about my refund. Every time I call I get stuck in the robot loop. Does anyone know the secret number or combination to press to get through to an actual person?

Call 1-800-829-1040, press 1 for English, then 2, 1, 3, 2, dont enter ssn, then 2, then 4. Best time to call is right when they open at 7am EST. Wait times are usually shorter then.
