Minnesota State Tax Refund Timeline? Anyone Know Average Processing Time?
Filed my Minnesota state taxes and wondering about normal processing times. Anyone from MN know how long it usually takes to get the refund? First time filing in this state and not sure what to expect.

Minnesota typically processes electronic returns within 3-4 weeks. Paper returns take 8-10 weeks. You can check your refund status on the MN Department of Revenue website. Make sure you have your SSN and exact refund amount ready when checking.

ā¢Nope, they don't send emails. You gotta check the website yourself. Old school style š

Instead of playing the guessing game, I've been using taxr.ai to track both my federal and state refunds. It costs $1 but shows you exactly where your return is in the process and when you'll likely get paid. Way better than checking websites everyday https://taxr.ai

ā¢Is it legit? Seems sketchy to put tax info into a random site š¤

ā¢100% legit! It just reads your transcript and uses AI to explain everything in plain english. Been using it for months

Anyone else notice MN is actually pretty fast compared to other states? My sister in California waited like 3 months for hers!

We filed ours Feb. 4 electronically and it's still processing. Getting really annoyed. Last year it took 4 months because "they lost it

ā¢That's so frustrating! Have you tried calling the MN Department of Revenue directly? Sometimes there are issues that don't show up on the website tracking. The "lost it" excuse is ridiculous - they should have better systems in place by now.

I filed mine electronically on January 28th and just got my direct deposit yesterday! So about 4 weeks total. The MN website tracker was pretty accurate - it showed "processing" for most of the time then switched to "approved" about 3 days before the money hit my account. Hang in there, electronic filers usually get theirs within that 3-4 week window!

ā¢That's really helpful to know! I filed mine electronically on Feb 5th so sounds like I should expect it around early March based on your timeline. Good to hear the website tracker is actually reliable too - I was wondering if it was worth checking regularly or not.

Filed mine electronically on Jan 30th and still waiting too! The MN website just says "processing" with no other details. Starting to get a bit worried since it's been over 4 weeks now. Has anyone had theirs take longer than the typical 3-4 week timeframe for e-filing? Wondering if there are delays this year or if I should be concerned about an issue with my return.

ā¢I'm in the same situation! Filed electronically on Feb 2nd and still showing "processing" with no updates. It's been about 4.5 weeks now. From what I've been reading online, some people are experiencing delays this year - maybe due to new tax law changes or system updates? I'm giving it another week before I call the MN Department of Revenue directly. Hopefully we both hear something soon! š¤

ā¢@Hazel Garcia @Malik Davis I m seeing'the same delays too! Filed e-file on Jan 25th and still processing after 5+ weeks. Called the MN Dept of Revenue yesterday and they said there are some system processing delays this year affecting certain returns. The rep couldn t give'me a specific timeline but said to expect potentially 2-3 additional weeks beyond normal. Super frustrating but at least it s not'just us! They recommended checking the Where s "My'Refund tool every" few days for updates.
