Illinois State Tax Refund vs Federal - Different Status Showing?
My federal refund has been received but I'm having trouble checking my Illinois state tax refund status. Does anyone know the correct website to track Illinois state refunds? Starting to get worried since federal came through but state is still MIA.

For Illinois state tax refunds, you need to use MyTax Illinois portal (mytax.illinois.gov). Its completely separate from the federal IRS system. You'll need to create an account if you haven't already. The processing times are different for state vs federal, so don't panic if one comes before the other.
