IRS flagged my identity as fraudulent, now homeless with kids. Need help ASAP!
Hey everyone, I'm in a really tough spot right now. I'm homeless with my kids and desperately need my money from the IRS. They sent me a letter saying my identity verification is fraudulent. I don't know what to do. Has anyone dealt with this before? Also, they might ask about line 11 on the 1040 form and I have no clue what that is. Any help would be appreciated.

If they ask about Line 11 on Form 1040, that's your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI). It's near the bottom of the first page of your tax return. 6. Request information on next steps to clear this up. 7. I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c

Quick q - did you file your taxes electronically or by mail? I've heard paper returns are more likely to get flagged for some reason.

Just a heads up, be prepared for a long wait when you call. Bring snacks, water, and maybe a book lol. Last time I called, I was on hold for 3 hours before I got through.
