IRS asking to verify AGAIN after verifying last year - why annual verification??
Just checked my transcript and now theres another verification notice. I already verified last year and went through that whole process. Is the IRS seriously gonna make us do this dance every single year? This is getting out of hand, taking forever just to get what's mine.

The IRS has increased verification requirements due to rising identity theft. While it's frustrating, they're not targeting you specifically. Different factors can trigger reverification - new address, different employer, significant income changes, or claiming new credits. Check if you have any of these changes from last year.

•Even with no changes, their system sometimes flags returns randomly for extra security. Better safe than sorry from their perspective, but I know its a pain.

Hey guys instead of playing detective, I started using taxr.ai to analyze my transcripts. It costs $1 but it tells you exactly why youre being verified and what to do next. Saved me hours of research https://taxr.ai

•100% works. It showed me exactly why I got flagged and what documents I needed. Way better than guessing

Honestly the whole system is broken. They should just keep our verification on file from previous years smh

Did you claim any credits this year? EIC or child tax credit usually triggers verification
