IRS Transcript Access Problem - Can't Verify Identity with Old Phone Number
I can login to my IRS account but I'm stuck at the verification step. The system is trying to send a text or call my old phone number. Anyone know how to update this or get around this?

You'll need to verify your identity through ID.me or go in person to a TAC (Taxpayer Assistance Center). For ID.me, go to the IRS website and click 'Sign in with ID.me'. You'll need to provide current contact info and verify with a government ID. For in-person, call 844-545-5640 to schedule an appointment at your local TAC office.

•Usually takes 30-45 mins once your actually seen. But get there early, they can be really strict about appointment times!

id.me is your best bet. just did it yesterday and it was pretty painless. you'll need your drivers license tho
