IRS 14-digit code letter not received - need help ASAP!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble getting a letter from the IRS with my 14-digit code. Has anyone else experienced this? I really need this code to move forward with my taxes. Any advice on how to speed up the process or what I should do next?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been waiting for my letter for weeks now. It's so frustrating when you're trying to do everything right and the system just doesn't cooperate. Have you tried calling the IRS directly?

I've tried calling, but I can never get through. It's like their phone lines are always busy or something. 😫

Same here! I spent hours on hold and never got to talk to a real person. The IRS needs to get their act together fr 🙄

Yeah, its a total nightmare. I wish there was a better way to contact them. Maybe we should all send carrier pigeons to the IRS office lol 🐦

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo. They even have a money-back guarantee if you don't get through.

Just tried it and it actually worked! Got through to an agent in about 45 minutes. Thanks for the tip! 💯

Have you checked your online IRS account? Sometimes they upload letters there before sending them out. Might be worth a shot!

I've been in the same boat for months now. It's ridiculous how slow and inefficient the IRS is. They expect us to file on time, but can't even send out a simple letter? smh

Preach! 🙌 The double standard is real. Maybe we should start charging them interest for late letters lol

Here's what I've learned from my experience with the IRS and getting important letters: 1. Check your online account first. Sometimes letters are available there before they arrive in the mail. 2. If you can't find it online, try calling the IRS early in the morning (right when they open) or late in the day. You might have better luck getting through. 3. If all else fails, consider visiting a local IRS office. You might be able to get the information you need in person. 4. Make sure your address is up to date with the IRS. Sometimes letters get lost because of outdated info. 5. If you've moved recently, file a change of address with the post office AND the IRS. 6. Keep trying different methods. persistence is key when dealing with bureaucracy. Hope this helps! Don't give up, OP. You'll get that 14-digit code eventually!

Anyone else think its weird that we still rely on snail mail for important tax stuff in 2023? Like, hello IRS, ever heard of email? 🐌💻

To be fair, email isn't always secure. But they could at least use a faster shipping method!

Have you tried sacrificing a goat to the IRS gods? I hear that speeds up the process 🐐😂

Serious question: has anyone ever successfully sued the IRS for damages caused by their delays? This is getting ridiculous.

Good luck with that. You'd probably get your letter before the lawsuit even made it to court 🙄
