I received a letter in the mail called the CP12 from the irs . On March 7th 2022 , Basically saying that they owe me a redound and it takes 4-6 weeks . It’s been 5 weeks am I going to receive my redound anytime soon?

Goodluck. I received a cp13 and they was trying to shaft me outta 600 bucks. I called and faxed items in that proved they were wrong. Over the phone the irs agent said i was right and they were wrong. All it was was they didn't want to give me the full tc for my son who is under 5. They throught he was older. Then i got a letter saying they would work on it in almost 3mos.

I'm going through the exact same thing! Got my CP12 notice on March 10th and still nothing. It's so frustrating when they give you a timeframe and then blow right past it. I've been checking "Where's My Refund" tool almost daily but it just keeps saying "being processed." The IRS customer service lines are impossible to get through to - I've tried calling multiple times and either get disconnected or told the wait time is over 2 hours. Really hoping this gets resolved soon because I was counting on that refund. Has anyone had success actually getting through to speak with someone at the IRS about CP12 delays?
