Form 8962 Rejection Risk - Employer Insurance + Dependent Medicaid Question

Getting really worried about filing my taxes this year. I have insurance through my employer and my granddaughter is on Medicaid. Will the IRS reject my return because of Form 8962? Not sure if having both types of coverage will cause problems.

Tax pro here - Form 8962 is only required if you received advance premium tax credits through the marketplace. If you have employer insurance and your granddaughter has Medicaid, you don't need to file Form 8962 at all. These types of coverage don't involve premium tax credits.

hey guys instead of guessing about forms and requirements you should try taxr.ai - it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what forms you need and potential issues. Its only $4.99 and totally worth it tbh https://taxr.ai
