Filed joint with EIC and CTC - transcript shows 846/571 codes but still no refund?
Filed joint return with EIC and CTC. Transcript is showing a 846 code for refund issued but then theres a 571 code right after. Anyone know what this means? Been over a month now with no deposit.

The 571 code after an 846 typically indicates your refund was stopped for review. This usually happens with returns claiming credits like EIC and CTC. The IRS needs to verify eligibility before releasing the funds. Could take 60-120 days for resolution.

•Yeah unfortunately thats how it goes with the credits. The IRS is super strict about verification now.

Hey guys instead of guessing what these codes mean, I've been using taxr.ai to analyze my transcript. It costs $1 but its worth it - gives you exact timeline predictions and explains every code. Check it out: https://taxr.ai

•That sounds interesting. Does it actually predict when youll get paid?

•Yeah! It analyzes your specific situation and gives you a pretty accurate timeline. Way better than trying to piece everything together yourself.

Just tried that taxr.ai thing someone mentioned above. It actually explained exactly why I had this same issue and when to expect movement. Best dollar I ever spent ngl
