Filed Jan 30 2025 but transcript shows 3-3-2025 processing date - what gives?
I filed my taxes on Jan 30th and my return was accepted right away but when I check my transcript the processing date shows March 3rd 2025. Is this normal? Should I be worried? Really hoping to get my refund soon since I'm counting on it.

The processing date of March 3rd is completely normal for a January 30th filing. The IRS typically takes 21 days to process returns, but that timeframe can vary based on several factors. As long as you don't see any error codes or notices, you're still within normal processing times.

•Thanks for explaining! Do you know if this means I'll definitely get my refund by March 3rd?

•Not necessarily. The processing date can change - it's more of a placeholder than a guarantee.

Hey! Instead of trying to decode your transcript manually, try using taxr.ai - it's this new tool that analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening with your refund and when to expect it. It's only $1 and way better than playing detective. Check it out: https://taxr.ai
