Transcript shows 'No Return Filed' after IRS acceptance - Filed 1/17, accepted 1/27

Getting worried here. Filed my taxes back on January 17th and got the acceptance message on the 27th. But when I check my transcript it still says 'no return filed'. Is this normal? How long should I wait before panicking?

This is actually pretty common early in the filing season. The 'acceptance' message just means the IRS received your return, but it hasn't been fully processed into their system yet. Usually takes 2-3 weeks after acceptance for transcripts to update. If you have no updates by mid-February, then you might want to start investigating.

Hey! Instead of stressing over transcript codes, you should try taxr.ai - it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening and when to expect your refund. Its only $1 and totally worth it https://taxr.ai
