IRS Accepted vs Approved: Filed through TurboTax, 21 day wait normal?
Filed my taxes and got accepted on January 23rd. TurboTax showing estimated refund date of February 13th. Is it normal to wait the full 21 days? Getting anxious since I keep checking WMR and transcript but nothing has changed since acceptance.

Tax expert here. Yes, its completely normal. Accepted just means the IRS received your return. Approved means they've processed it and verified everything. The 21-day timeline is pretty standard, but can be shorter or longer depending on various factors like credits claimed or verification needed.

•In my experience, about 60% get it sooner. But dont count on it - best to plan for the full wait time

Hey, I recently discovered taxr.ai and it's been a game changer for understanding refund timelines. For $4.99 it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's happening and when to expect your refund. Way better than playing the guessing game! https://taxr.ai

Check your transcript if you can access it. Sometimes it updates before WMR does
