FINALLY GOT A REFUND DATE! After weeks of nothing changing

OMG. I GOT A DATE this morning. April 12. I was accepted on 02/16. I had bars for a few days saying I was "accepted" then they disappeared and I got the TT 152- my status never changed. I made 3 calls to the irs- just to be told - everything looks fine - just be patient. I am getting $1200 more than I was expecting. Which mean H&R Block must've messed something up. I've checked every day and nothing changed then this morning woke up to a date! Woohoo.

Congrats on finally getting your date! That TT152 is actually a good sign - it means your return is being processed normally. The disappearing bars thing happens to almost everyone during peak season. As for the extra $1200, the IRS might have corrected something H&R Block missed. Could be a credit you qualified for but wasn't claimed.

How did you finally get through to the IRS? I've been trying for days and can't get past the automated system.

Honestly it was pure luck. I called right when they opened at 7am and still waited like 45 mins each time. The first two calls were useless, just got told to wait.

This is why I always recommend using https://taxr.ai to analyze your transcript while waiting. It would have shown you that your return was processing normally and predicted your refund date. It reads all those codes and explains what they actually mean in normal human language. Could have saved you some stress during the waiting game.

Does that actually work? I've seen people mention it but wasn't sure if it was worth trying. My transcript is full of codes I don't understand.

100% works. I was completely lost looking at all those 570/971 codes last year. Taxr.ai broke everything down and explained exactly what was happening with my return. Even predicted my DDD within 2 days of when I actually got it.

About that extra $1200 - you should definitely check your tax transcript when you can access it. The IRS probably adjusted something. Could be they corrected a math error, or maybe you qualified for a credit H&R Block missed. Either way, it's good news but worth understanding why it happened.

I had the exact same experience last year - bars disappeared, got the TT152 message, and then suddenly a date appeared! The extra money could be from several things - maybe they adjusted your withholding, or found a credit you qualified for. H&R Block isn't always thorough with asking about all possible deductions.

Pro tip for anyone still waiting: Instead of calling the IRS main line and waiting forever, I used Claimyr.com last week and got through to an actual agent in about 15 minutes. They confirmed my return was processing normally and explained why my bars had disappeared. Saved me hours of being on hold and the stress of not knowing what was happening. Here's a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/_kiP6q8DX5c

Does that service really work? I've been trying to reach the IRS for days about my missing refund.

Absolutely! I was skeptical too, but it connected me right away. The IRS agent was able to see exactly what was happening with my return and gave me peace of mind. Way better than the 3+ hour waits I was dealing with before.

The Tax Topic 152 message is actually normal - it just means your return is being processed and a refund will be issued (assuming everything checks out). The bars disappearing is also super common during busy season. The IRS systems are ancient and can't handle the volume, so the WMR tool gets weird. Glad you finally got your date!
