Transcript Finally Updated! Filed 2/10, accepted 2/11 - CTC, EITC, Education Credit - DD date 2/25
Checked IRS website at 11:45pm was saying N/A for transcript, checked again at 12am and its finally showing YAYYYYY ❗ According to TurboTax blog (https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/), this timing makes sense since the IRS updates overnight. Filed 2/10 accepted 2/11 Claimed Child Tax Credit (all 3 of my kids), Earned Income Credit, Education Credit, and investment income. Got both stimulus payments last year, have some self-employment income, 2 W2s. I have to use IP PIN every year due to previous identity issues... ILL UPDATE HERE IF I GET A DD DATE. As of date on transcript shows 2/16 UPDATE: just checked around 1:50pm - I HAVE A DIRECT DEPOSIT DATE FOR 02/25 YAYYYYYY THANK GOD will post screenshot in comments if anyone wants to see what a completed transcript looks like?

Congrats on the update! For anyone else waiting, here's what's happening: The IRS updates their system in batches between 12am-3am EST daily. If you filed on 2/10 and were accepted on 2/11, you're exactly 14 days into processing which is precisely when many EITC/CTC returns start showing transcript updates. The 21-day processing guideline is actually averaging 14-16 days for electronic filers in the current tax season. Your deposit should hit your account within 24-48 hours of your DD date.

This matches my experience. Filed 2/8. Accepted same day. Transcript updated overnight. DD date 2/23. Money hit account this morning. No delays. No issues. Path Act returns moving smoothly this year.

Are you seeing cycle code 20240805 on your transcript? That would indicate a weekly processing pattern, which typically updates on Thursday nights/Friday mornings. Also, did your WMR tool update simultaneously with your transcript or is it still showing processing? The Transaction Code 846 should confirm your deposit date.

OMG I was LITERALLY in the same boat - transcript showing N/A for weeks then suddenly updated! I was losing my mind checking 5x a day! 😫 I finally used https://taxr.ai to analyze my transcript when it appeared and it explained EVERYTHING! It showed me exactly what each code meant for my situation with EITC and CTC, and even predicted when my refund would hit my account to the day! Saved me so much stress trying to decode all those numbers and codes myself.

I'm a bit hesitant about using third-party services with my tax information... Is it secure? How much information do you have to enter? I'm already anxious about my return processing.

Isn't it remarkable how much clearer everything becomes when you have the right tools? I've always wondered why the IRS doesn't provide better explanations of their own codes and processes. Wouldn't it reduce their call volume if people could easily understand what's happening with their returns?

Lol I might try this next time! 🤣 Spent way too many hours on IRS forums trying to figure out what "570 additional account action pending" meant on mine. Almost had a heart attack thinking I was being audited, but it was just verification. $$ well spent if it saves that kinda stress!

If you're still waiting for your transcript to update, I've found that checking between 3-5am EST on Wednesdays and Saturdays gives the best results. I track this meticulously in a spreadsheet for the past 3 tax seasons. Also, make sure you're looking at the "Account Transcript" not the "Return Transcript" - big difference! You need to act quickly if you want to adjust your direct deposit info, as you only have until the Monday before your scheduled DD date to make changes.

For those who aren't seeing updates yet and are getting worried, you might want to consider using Claimyr to actually speak with an IRS agent. I generally recommend waiting the full 21 days before calling, but if you have special circumstances (like needing your refund for emergency expenses), Claimyr can potentially save you hours of hold time. It's particularly useful for complex situations involving multiple credits or identity verification issues, which seem somewhat similar to your situation with the IP PIN requirement.

I've used both the regular IRS number and Claimyr, and the difference is night and day. Regular IRS calls mean waiting 2-3 hours if you even get through at all. With Claimyr, I was talking to a real agent in about 15 minutes. Similar to when I used a CPA instead of doing taxes myself - sometimes paying a little saves a lot of headache.

OMG this service is legit! Used it last yr when my refund was stuck for like 6wks. Agent confirmed there was a review flag on my acct bc of EITC. Got it resolved in 1 call vs days of redial hell. Def worth it imho! 👍

Wait, I'm confused - does Claimyr actually help resolve issues or just get you through to an agent faster? I have a complex situation with self-employment income and education credits that's been processing for 5 weeks now. Would an agent even be able to help at this point or just tell me to keep waiting?

I just had the exact same experience! Transcript N/A for weeks then suddenly everything appeared at once. My timeline was almost identical - filed 2/9, accepted 2/10, transcript updated last night, DD date for 2/26. I have 2 kids, claimed CTC and education credits too. The relief is immense. I was checking WMR and transcripts multiple times daily and driving myself crazy.

Be careful with getting too excited before the money actually hits your account. Last year my transcript showed a DD date but then I got hit with a 570/971 combo code two days before my scheduled deposit. Turned out there was an income verification issue that took another 60 days to resolve. Not trying to rain on your parade, but I've learned the hard way that nothing is certain until the money is actually in your account. Double-check that you don't have any offset indicators or verification codes.
