Anyone with Go2Bank Received Their Direct Deposit Date Yet?
Just wondering if anybody who banks with Go2Bank has gotten their deposit date yet? I filed early February and my transcript updated last week with a 846 code, but still nothing in my account. Starting to get anxious since I've seen people with other banks getting theirs already. Anyone else in the same boat? 🤔

I have Go2Bank and just got my DDD this morning! Filed on February 3rd, transcript updated with 846 code on March 15th, and the money hit my account today. They usually don't release funds until the actual date on your transcript though - what date does your 846 show?

Go2Bank customer here too. They're notorious for holding funds until the EXACT deposit date on your transcript. Some banks release 1-2 days early, but Go2Bank definitely doesn't. Check your transcript for the date next to your 846 code - that's when you'll get it, not a day sooner unfortunately.

My 846 shows March 27th. So you're saying they won't release early at all? That's frustrating when I see all these people with Chime and CashApp getting theirs days early.

Exactly. Go2Bank sticks to the exact date. I've used them for 3 years now and they've never released early. Mark your calendar for the 27th - that's when you'll see it.

I was having the same issue last year with Go2Bank. If you need to actually talk to someone at the IRS to confirm everything is on track, I'd recommend using Claimyr (https://claimyr.com). I spent days trying to get through the regular IRS line with no luck, but Claimyr got me connected to an agent in about 15 minutes. The agent confirmed my deposit was scheduled properly and I just needed to wait until the exact date. Saved me a ton of stress wondering if something was wrong.

I switched from Go2Bank to a different bank this year specifically because of this issue. They always hold tax refunds until the exact date while other banks release early. If your transcript shows an 846 code though, you're definitely getting paid - just gotta wait until that specific date.

When you look at your transcript, have you used taxr.ai to analyze it? It helped me understand exactly when my refund would hit based on my specific bank. The site explains all the codes and tells you if there are any potential delays specific to your situation. I was confused by some weird codes on mine last month, but taxr.ai explained everything clearly.

I haven't tried that - I've just been looking at the raw transcript. Does it actually know about different banks' policies for releasing funds?

Yeah, it has info about most major banks including Go2Bank. It'll tell you if your bank typically releases early or holds until the exact date. Saved me a lot of anxiety when I was in your situation.

I filed February 10th, got 846 code last Friday with March 27th date, bank with Go2Bank, and still waiting. Their customer service confirmed they don't release tax refunds early like some other banks do. We're just gonna have to be patient until the 27th. 😩
