I need to see my transcript but have no idea where to start. I've heard about checking it online but getting a bit overwhelmed with all the different options. Can someone walk me through this?

When do IRS transcripts & Where's My Refund actually update? Daily or weekly in 2025?

Getting different answers about when transcripts and WMR update. Some say daily others say weekly on Fridays. Anyone know the real schedule? Its driving me crazy checking 10 times a day and getting nowhere.

WMR is straight garbage fr fr. Mine been saying still processing for 3 months ๐Ÿคฎ

Why Does My Transcript Show $7,234 EITC But TurboTax Shows $6,836 Refund? Understanding IRS Code 768 vs Total Refund

I'm confused looking at my transcript. The refund amount from turbotax shows $6836 and my account balance matches that. But when I look at the codes and credits section on my transcript, there's an EITC credit showing $7,234. Which amount should I expect to get back? Here's what my transcript shows: TRANSACTIONS CODE EXPLANATION OF TRANSACTION CYCLE DATE AMOUNT 150 Tax return filed 20250505 02-18-2025 $3,444.00 32211-427-59753-5 766 Credit to your account 04-16-2025 -$3,036.00 766 Credit to your account 04-16-2025 -$110.00 768 Earned income credit 04-16-2025 -$7,234.00 So my total credits are: - $3,036 (code 766) - $110 (code 766) - $7,234 (code 768 Earned income credit) But TurboTax is showing my refund as $6,836. That doesn't seem to add up to either the EITC amount alone or the sum of all my credits. Anyone know why there's a difference? Is there something I'm missing in how these numbers are calculated? Will I get the full $7,234 EITC or just what TurboTax calculated?

wait till u see cycle codes and 846 dates lmaooo its like learning ancient hieroglyphics

Did you have any other credits besides EITC? That could explain the difference

Offset question: Filing separately from spouse - will they take from both of us?

Filing separately this year but my spouse and I have an offset. Not sure if they'll take it from both our refunds or just one. Anyone have experience with this? Really need to know what to expect before filing.

my cousin filed separate from her husband last year and they only took his refund for their joint debt. guess its kinda random tbh

0 coins

nothing random about it bestie, depends on the type of debt and who's name its under ๐Ÿ’…

0 coins

u might wanna file injured spouse form if its not ur debt

0 coins

whats that? never heard of it

Form 8379 - tells IRS not to take ur part of refund for spouse's debt. But only works if debt isn't joint

IRS Transcript Update Schedule - Daily vs Weekly? Just Filed 2024 Return

Filed 2024 taxes on Feb 1st through TaxFreeUSA and got accepted yesterday. Already checking transcripts but Where's My Refund just says processing. Is it too early to see any movement on transcripts? Do they update daily or only on certain days?

Pro tip: sign up for informed delivery with USPS. Sometimes you'll see your refund check scanned before the WMR even updates

doesnt help if ur doing direct deposit tho

How do u even check transcripts? WMR is all i know bout
