Filed early February and got verified end of March. My Where's My Refund still shows processing and transcripts are completely blank. IRS keeps saying wait 9 weeks but this is getting ridiculous. Just want some kind of update or deposit date.
My amended return has been sitting there since June 24, 2024 with zero movement. When I check Where's My Amended Return tool for 2023, it just shows this frustrating message telling me: "Your amended return was received on June 24, 2024. However, it has not been processed. We apologize for any inconvenience." The only action they give me is to call 800-829-0582, extension 623, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and they say I need to have a copy of my amended return ready. The screen literally says: "Where's My Amended Return > 2023 Take Action Please see below for additional info about your amended return. Your amended return was received on June 24, 2024. However, it has not been processed. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please call 800-829-0582, extension 623, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will need a copy of your amended return. EXIT" Is everyone else getting this message too? Has anyone actually called that number? Did they give you any useful information or just more runaround? I'm getting tired of waiting around with no progress. It's been months now and I'm worried because I'm expecting a decent refund from the amendment. I need to know if I should just keep waiting or if something is actually wrong with my return.
Pro tip: upload ur transcript to taxr.ai - saved me so much headache with my amended return. It told me exactly why mine was delayed and when to expect it. Best dollar I ever spent fr fr
I filed with JH on the 16th and was part of their test batch processing. My refund is already being processed! Anyone else in the test batch seeing movement? Been refreshing WMR like a maniac lol
Just checked WMR this morning at 07:33 and finally got code 150 on my transcript! When I check "Where's My Refund" on the official IRS website (sa.www4.irs.gov), it's showing "Return Received" status and my return is being processed. I filed Head of Household for tax year 2023. The IRS website specifically states "We have received your tax return and it is being processed." The status bar on the IRS website shows three stages: Return Received (which is where I'm at), Refund Approved, and Refund Sent. I can see this clearly on the "Results" page after logging into my account. Here's exactly what I'm seeing on the IRS website: Tax year 2023 Return Received Refund Approved Refund Sent We have received your tax return and it is being processed. Please Note For refund information, please continue to check here, or use our free mobile app, IRS2Go. Updates to refund status are made no more than once a day. Under "Your personal tax information" it shows: Tax Year: 2023 Filing Status: Head of household The IRS site has that official government header with "An official website of the United States Government" and "Here's how you know" text at the top. I accessed this through sa.www4.irs.gov. Anyone know what this means for timeline? I'm especially curious since I'm seeing both the code 150 on my transcript and this "Return Received" message on WMR at the same time. Should I expect movement soon or could it still be weeks of waiting? Does the code 150 appearing mean my refund is about to be approved, or is this just the first step of many?
Filed my taxes on January 20th and still nothing. WMR shows received but no dates yet. Anyone else file around the same time? Getting anxious about when the refund will hit my account.
