846 Code on Transcript with 2/24 DDD But No Deposit Yet - Anyone Else?

I have 846 on my transcripts with a DDD of 2/24 but I don't see no money in my account. Figured it was too good to be true 😭😭 anyone else been getting their money later than stated?

The 846 code is definitely good news—it means your refund has been approved. However, there can be a lag between the DDD on your transcript and when it actually hits your account. Several factors can affect this: 1. Your bank might hold deposits for 1-2 business days 2. If you filed with a tax preparer who takes fees from your refund, that adds processing time 3. Some banks don't process deposits on weekends I'd give it until at least Monday before getting too worried. What bank do you use?

This happened to me last week! Had a DDD of 2/17 but didn't see my refund until 2/21. Turns out my bank (Chase) was holding it for "verification" or whatever. So annoying when you're counting on that money. Did you get your refund through a tax preparer or direct from IRS?

I filed through TurboTax and had my fees taken out of the refund. Maybe that's why? It's with Chime so I thought it would be faster not slower 🤦‍♀️

If you had fees taken out of your refund, that's definitely adding time. Your money doesn't go directly from IRS to your bank - it goes: IRS → Tax preparer's bank → They take their fees → Then to your bank That whole process can add 1-5 days. I've been using https://taxr.ai to track all this stuff this year. It analyzes your transcript and explains exactly what each code means and gives you a more accurate timeline than the IRS site. It showed me exactly why my refund was delayed last month - had the same 846 code situation you're describing.

Is that site actually legit? Seems sketchy to use a third party when you can just check the IRS website yourself.

If you used TurboTax and had fees taken out, your refund is going through Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (SBTPG) first. You can check if they've received and processed it at https://taxpayer.sbtpg.com/ I had the same issue this season - DDD was 2/10 but didn't get my deposit until 2/14 because of this middle step.

When this happened to me last month with a similar situation, I got tired of waiting and called the IRS. Sat on hold for HOURS. Finally found Claimyr (https://www.claimyr.com) which got me through to an agent in about 15 minutes. They confirmed my refund had been sent to the tax preparer's bank and was just working through that system. At least I knew what was happening instead of stressing about it.

Omg thank you, might try this if it doesn't show up by Monday. The not knowing is killing me 😩

If you're with Chime, check your account for a pending deposit. Sometimes they show it as pending for 24-48 hours before it posts. Also, did you check both your Spending and Savings account? Sometimes deposits can go to the wrong account if you've changed your default.

Just checked again and nothing pending in either account. This is so frustrating!
