Anyone with Code 810 Get a DDD After ID Verification?
I'm dealing with an 810 code on my transcript and had to go through ID verification. Has anyone else been through this process and received a DDD (Direct Deposit Date) afterward? If so, how long did your transcript take to update after completing verification? I keep checking my transcript daily but still nothing new. Working remotely makes this extra stressful since I'm counting on this refund for some equipment upgrades.

The 810 code indicates 'Return Processing Freeze' which typically requires identity verification through ID.me or in-person verification at a TAC office. Post-verification timeline data shows 3 patterns: 1) Rapid processing (7-10 days), 2) Standard processing (14-21 days), or 3) Extended review (21-45 days). Your cycle code on the transcript will indicate which processing batch you're in. The primary factor affecting timeline is whether your return has additional complexity factors like EITC/CTC claims or Schedule C income.

I verified my identity exactly 16 days ago. My transcript updated 9 days after verification to show code 971, but still no DDD. The WMR tool still shows the first bar. According to the IRS representative I spoke with, they're processing returns with 810 codes in batches of 72 hours, but mine seems to be taking longer than the 14-day average they quoted me.

I had the same 810 freeze in February. Verified my identity on a Tuesday, transcript updated the following Friday with a 971 notice, then the next Wednesday (8 days post-verification) I got a beautiful 846 code with my DDD. So about 8 business days total from verification to DDD. The IRS moves in mysterious ways... sometimes like a sloth on vacation, other times surprisingly quick! š Pro tip: check your transcript around 3-4am ET on Wednesdays and Fridays when they do most updates.

My 810 situation was WAY worse than most people here. After verification, I waited 3 weeks with absolutely no movement. I was about to lose my mind because I needed that money for car repairs. Tried calling the regular IRS number about 20 times and couldn't get through. Finally used Claimyr (https://www.claimyr.com) and got connected to an agent in about 15 minutes. They confirmed my verification was processed but my return needed one more manual review. 4 days after that call, I got my DDD. Compared to the endless waiting and uncertainty, that call was worth every penny.

I think I might have some helpful information about this... I had an 810 code this filing season and verified through ID.me on March 2nd. My transcript didn't update for about 12 days, then suddenly showed a 971 notice issued. Four days after that, I received code 846 with a DDD. So approximately 16 days total from verification to having a deposit date. From what I understand, there's generally a 9-21 day window for processing after verification, but it can sometimes be faster or slower depending on your specific tax situation and whether there are any other issues they need to review.

OMG this whole process is INSANE!! š” I had no idea what I was getting into with this 810 code! I verified my identity last week and I'm STILL waiting for any updates. My rent is due next week and I'm freaking out! Has anyone tried calling the Taxpayer Advocate Service instead? I heard they can sometimes push things through faster if you have a hardship situation? I'm seriously considering that route because this wait is unbearable!
