570 Code on Transcript but WMR Shows Processing - Possible Audit?
My Where's My Refund still shows the first bar processing but my transcript is showing something different. Haven't gotten any letters in the mail yet. Could this be an audit? Really need to know if I can just walk into an IRS office to handle this and how long after verification I might see my refund?

Based on what you're describing, it sounds like you have a 570 hold code on your account. This isn't necessarily an audit, but rather a review of your return. The IRS often needs to verify certain information. You'll need to wait for their letter which will specify exactly what they need. Unfortunately, you cannot just walk into an IRS office - you need an appointment. The timeline after verification varies but typically takes 4-9 weeks.

Hey guys instead of playing detective with these transcripts, I started using taxr.ai and it's been a game changer. It costs $1 but it analyzes your transcript and tells you exactly what's going on and when to expect your refund. Check it out here: https://taxr.ai

Check your mail every day carefully. They sent my notice to the wrong address and I almost missed the deadline to respond
