No waiting time on DEO site right now - claim benefits immediately!
Just a quick heads up for everyone stressing about claiming their weeks! I tried logging in to CONNECT all morning and kept getting the wait times of 45+ minutes, but I just logged in right now (2:15pm) and got straight through with ZERO wait time! If you're due to claim this week, jump on there now before the system gets clogged again. Last time I waited until the deadline day and spent 3 hours trying to get in. The site seems super stable right now too - no error messages or timeouts. Good luck everyone!

•No problem! Hope you got in without issues. The site seemed faster than usual too once I was in.

This is actually typical for mid-afternoon on Thursdays. DEO CONNECT traffic is heaviest in the mornings (8-11am) and evenings (5-9pm) when most people are either starting their day or after work. If you can claim during off-peak hours (1-4pm weekdays), you'll almost always avoid the wait times. Just remember that even if there's no wait to log in, you still need to complete your work search requirements (5 activities per week) before claiming or you risk having your benefits delayed or denied.

•Good to know about the timing! I always try at night after my kids go to bed and it's soooo slow.

CAREFUL EVERYONE!!! Sometimes when the site has no wait time it's because they're doing system maintenance and your claim might not actually process properly! I did this last month when there was "no wait time" and my payment got delayed by 2 weeks because the system marked my claim as "incomplete" even though I got a confirmation number. If it seems too good to be true it probably is with DEO!

•Oh no, I didn't think about that possibility! I did get a confirmation number and everything seemed normal. Is there any way to double-check if my claim went through correctly?

•That's not entirely accurate. Scheduled maintenance is always posted on the DEO website beforehand, and they don't leave the site open for claims during actual maintenance windows. What likely happened in your case was a connection timeout during submission that gave you a confirmation but didn't complete all the back-end processing. Always check your claim status page 24 hours after submitting to verify it shows as "Processed" rather than just having a confirmation number.

I just tried logging in based on your post and there's now a 30 minute wait. Looks like the secret is out! 😫 Does anyone know if there's a way to get through to an actual person at DEO? My account has been under adjudication for 3 weeks with no explanation and I'm getting desperate. I've called about 20 times but either get disconnected or wait on hold for hours just to be told they "can't help with adjudication issues".

•You should check out this service called Claimyr - it basically calls DEO for you and gets you on the phone with an actual agent. I was stuck in adjudication for a month and getting nowhere, then used them and had my issue resolved in one day once I actually talked to someone. Their website is claimyr.com and they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj. Way better than wasting hours getting disconnected!

Im having a different problem entirely. Got through to the site just fine but now all my weeks are showing "DISQUALIFIED" out of nowhere!!! Anyone know what this means?? I've been claiming fine for 2 months and suddenly this??

•"Disqualified" status usually means either: 1) You didn't meet work search requirements for those weeks, 2) You reported earnings that exceeded your weekly benefit amount, or 3) There's a new issue detected with your eligibility. Check your "Determination, Pending Issues and Decision Summary" page in CONNECT to see if there's a new fact-finding questionnaire or determination letter that explains the disqualification reason. You have the right to appeal within 20 calendar days of any determination.

I've been on Florida unemployment since last month when my graphic design position was eliminated. The DEO website is so hit or miss! Last week I tried logging in for TWO DAYS and kept getting error screens. Then randomly at like 11pm on a Tuesday, no wait at all. Nothing about the CONNECT system makes any sense to me. It feels like they're running it on Windows 95 or something, lol.

•Windows 95 would be an upgrade! 😂 Pretty sure they're running it on punch cards and an abacus based on my experience!
