DEO CONNECT system kicked me out before 8pm cutoff - anyone else affected tonight?
I am SO frustrated right now! Was in the middle of claiming my weeks on CONNECT at 7:54pm and suddenly got booted out completely. Still had SIX minutes left before the supposed 8pm system maintenance time. Tried logging back in at 7:55, 7:56, and again at 7:58 but kept getting the 'system offline for maintenance' message that normally only shows up at 8:00pm sharp! Now I'm worried my claim info didn't save and I'll have to start all over tomorrow. Is the system glitching for anyone else tonight or just me? Do we think DEO changed their maintenance schedule without telling anyone? 😤

•Ughhh why can't they at least update the site to say maintenance starts at 7:55 then?? Instead of making us think we have until 8pm sharp! Did your info save when it happened to you?

This happens EVERY SINGLE TIME with DEO!!! Their system is literally GARBAGE. They say 8pm but kick everyone off at 7:55pm and don't bother telling anyone. I've had this happen 3 times now. Sometimes your info saves and sometimes it doesn't. You'll have to check tomorrow morning and possibly redo everything. This is how they treat people who are already struggling!!!!

•Yeah same here. Been dealing with Florida unemployment for years and their tech is just awful. Never seen a government system so consistently broken.

The CONNECT system actually begins its shutdown process about 5 minutes before the listed maintenance time. This is fairly standard practice for large database systems that need time to save transactions and prepare for maintenance. Here's what you should know: 1. Always try to complete any claims at least 15 minutes before the listed maintenance time 2. If you got kicked out during a claim, most of your information should be saved as you progress through each page 3. When you log back in tomorrow, you'll likely be able to continue where you left off 4. If you reached the submission page but didn't get to hit the final submit button, you may need to verify all information and resubmit This is frustrating but a known quirk of the system that most regular claimants have learned to work around.

•Thanks for explaining! I was almost at the end and had just uploaded my work search info when it kicked me out. Crossing my fingers that it saved something. I'll definitely start earlier next time.

•At least I'm not alone! So annoying though. Did you have to restart your whole claim too?

I had this EXACT problem last month. Spent 45 minutes carefully entering all my work search activities and got booted at 7:55pm. When I logged back in the next day, half my information was gone and I had to restart. What worked for me was trying to call DEO directly to explain, but after 30+ attempts and always getting disconnected, I found this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that got me through to a live agent in about 20 minutes. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj The agent was able to see that my work search info had partially saved in their system and they helped me complete the claim over the phone. Saved me from having to re-do everything and potentially missing my claim week deadline.

•Oh wow, I didn't know there was a service like that! I've never been able to get through on the phone. I'll check out that video and might try it if my info is gone tomorrow. Thanks for the tip!

The system does start its maintenance process a few minutes early, but your information is typically saved as you progress through each page. When you log back in tomorrow, try these steps: 1. Go to your home page and look for "Incomplete Claim Weeks" section 2. If you see your weeks there, click on "View and Maintain Account Information" 3. Then select "Claim Week Status" to resume where you left off 4. If your work search info is missing, you'll need to re-enter it Most importantly, always try to submit claims in the morning or early afternoon rather than close to the maintenance window. The system is actually most stable between 7-10am on weekdays.

Wait am I supposed to be claiming at specific times? I usually just do mine whenever during the day and haven't had this happen. Is there a schedule for when the system goes down?

•CONNECT goes down for maintenance every night from 8pm to 7am, and also all day on many state holidays. It's mentioned on the login page, but easy to miss if you're not looking for it. They also sometimes have unscheduled maintenance that can happen during weekdays without warning.

UPDATE: Logged in this morning and thankfully most of my info was saved! Only had to re-enter my last work search activity. The system really should warn users that it starts shutting down early though. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions!

•You got lucky this time! Mine was completely erased when this happened to me in March. Glad it worked out though!
