Documents upload deadline in 2 days - how to upload ID & SSN to DEO before claim cancellation?
I'm new to the Florida unemployment system and completely lost! They're giving me just 2 more days to upload my identification documents or my entire claim will be cancelled. I've been trying for a MONTH to figure out how to upload my driver's license and social security card to the DEO system. The CONNECT portal is so confusing and I can't find any upload option anywhere. I've called their number at least 15 times and either get disconnected or sit on hold until the office closes. I've tried emailing their general inbox twice with no response. I'm seriously panicking because I'll lose everything if I miss this deadline. Has anyone successfully uploaded their documents recently? Where exactly is this mythical upload button hiding??? Please help!

I'm trying on both phone and desktop! Did you find the upload option somewhere specific on mobile? I just keep going in circles on their site.

You need to log into your CONNECT account, and on the left side menu, look for

The DEO system is GARBAGE!! I went through this nightmare last year and ended up having to drive 2 hours to a CareerSource office to get help uploading my docs because the website kept crashing. Try clicking on \

I checked my inbox and there's nothing there except the original welcome message from when I first created my account. This is so frustrating!

There are two separate verification systems, and it sounds like you're confusing them. Based on your timeline of being a new claimant, you likely need to complete ID.me verification first, which is different from uploading documents directly to CONNECT.\n\nHere are the steps:\n\n1. Go to ID.me website (https://hosted-pages.id.me/florida-deo-identity-proofing)\n2. Create an account and verify your identity through their secure portal\n3. This will link to your CONNECT account automatically\n4. AFTER completing ID.me, log back into CONNECT\n5. Then check your Determination/Issues section for any remaining document requirements\n\nThe deadline you mentioned makes me think you received the ID.me verification notice, not a regular document upload request. These are different processes.

This!!!! I kept trying to upload my docs to CONNECT for days but all I needed was the ID.me thing. Once I did that my account showed verified in like 2 hours.

After spending weeks trying to reach someone at DEO about document uploading issues, I finally tried Claimyr (claimyr.com) and they actually got me connected to a live DEO agent in about 20 minutes. The agent walked me through exactly where to upload my documents and confirmed receipt while I was on the phone. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj\n\nIt was the only way I could get actual help with my document upload confusion because the DEO website is so unclear about where things should go.

Did they actually verify they received your documents?? I used the upload thing a month ago but still got a notice saying they never got anything. Does this Claimyr thing actually work? I'm desperate enough to try anything at this point.

Yes, they confirmed receipt right while I was on the phone with them! That was the best part - actual confirmation instead of uploading into the void and hoping someone sees it. The DEO agent I spoke with even noted in my file that the documents were properly submitted so there wouldn't be any issues later.

I just tried the ID.me link someone posted above and it worked! My identity verification went through, but now I'm seeing a new notification in CONNECT asking for additional documentation to verify my work authorization. At least now I can see where to upload everything. Thanks everyone for the help!

Glad to hear you got the ID.me verification sorted out! For the work authorization documents, you'll want to make sure you're uploading clear, complete scans of whatever they're requesting (typically SSN card, birth certificate, or work permit depending on your situation). Make sure the files aren't too large - CONNECT has a pretty small file size limit (I think around 4MB per file). If you have trouble with the upload working, try converting to PDF format as that seems to work more consistently than JPG files.
