DEO document upload missing - how to submit employment proof when CONNECT shows no upload option?
Feeling like I'm going insane with this DEO nightmare! My claim is stuck because they're saying they can't verify my employment history through their system, even though I worked at the same company for 3 years. I have all my paystubs and W-2s ready to go, but there's literally NO WAY to get them these documents! When I called, an agent told me I could 'upload them to my CONNECT account' but there's no upload button or section anywhere in my portal. They also mentioned faxing (without giving a number) and mailing (without giving an address). I've called 17 times this week alone but either get disconnected or told different information each time. Has anyone successfully uploaded documents to DEO recently? Is there a secret portal I'm missing? Or maybe an email contact that actually responds? I'm about to hit 8 weeks with no benefits and my savings are nearly gone.

The CONNECT system is missing the document upload option for a lot of people right now. It's a known glitch they haven't fixed. When I had this problem last month, I finally found the right fax number buried in an old determination letter: 321-332-6760. Put your claimant ID and SSN on a cover sheet. The other option is to physically go to a CareerSource Florida center - they can scan and upload docs directly into your file. Bring ID and all your employment proof.

•Thank you! I've been pulling my hair out. Did you get any confirmation when you faxed your documents? I'm worried they'll just disappear into the void and I'll still be stuck.

theres actually a way 2 do it on connect but its super hidden. click on your claim status, then "determination summary" then you should see a tiny blue text link called "pending issue details" click that then scroll ALL the way down. upload button should b there but only works on desktop not mobile

•You are a LIFESAVER! I swear I checked every inch of that site but missed this somehow. Going to try this first thing tomorrow morning when I'm at a computer.

I'm having THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM right now! Worked at my job for 5 years, they laid me off, and somehow DEO says they have "no record" of my employment there. Been calling for 3 weeks straight and can't get anyone on the phone who can help. The system is deliberately designed to make you give up - I'm convinced of it. Three different agents gave me three different upload instructions, NONE OF WHICH WORKED!!!! Let me know if you find a solution because I'm at my wit's end.

•Have you tried using ID.me? Sometimes that helps with the employment verification even though it's supposed to be just for identity.

I went through something similar in January. The "hidden" upload button others mentioned works sometimes, but it disappears if your claim has certain status codes. After trying everything, I finally used Claimyr to get through to a DEO agent right away (claimyr.com) - they had a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj Once I got a real person on the phone, they gave me a direct email address to send my documents to: DEO.DocumentSubmission@deo.myflorida.com Make sure your claimant ID and last 4 of your SSN are in the subject line. I got a confirmation email back the next day, and my claim was processed 3 days later.

•That email address worked for me too! Make sure to also include your full name and phone number in the email body along with explaining what documents you're attaching. I submitted my W-2s using this method after fighting with the system for weeks, and they processed my claim within 5 business days.

The DEO system is completely broken and they know it. I spent 2 months trying to verify my employment before finally getting through. Here's what actually works: 1. The upload feature in CONNECT only appears if your claim has a specific "fact finding" status - if you're in adjudication or pending monetary determination, it won't show up 2. If you're in North/Central Florida, the most reliable fax number is 833-526-3767 - use a cover sheet with all your identifying info 3. For physical mail (yes, it's 2025 and we're using snail mail): Florida DEO, PO Box 5350, Tallahassee, FL 32314 4. If all else fails, call right when they open at 7:30am - that's when wait times are shortest This system is deliberately confusing to reduce the number of successful claims. Don't give up!

•THANK YOU for the actual mailing address! None of the agents would give it to me! Unbelievable that we have to resort to physical mail in 2025 but at this point I'll try anything.

•There's a mobile app now? I had no idea! Do you know what it's called? Is it official from DEO?

•That's great news! I'm going to try both the hidden upload button and the email method tomorrow and see which one works. Fingers crossed!

TRIED THE EMAIL TODAY AND GOT A DELIVERY FAILURE MESSAGE!!! They probably shut it down because too many people were actually getting help. I HATE this system so much!!!

•Try this format instead: DEO.DocumentSubmission@DEO.MyFlorida.com (capitalization matters with their email system for some reason

UPDATE: I finally got through to a helpful agent using that Claimyr service someone mentioned. The agent confirmed there's a bug in CONNECT affecting document uploads for claims filed in February 2025. She gave me the direct email and took my documents over the phone. For anyone else struggling, the key is getting a live person who actually knows the system.

•That's great news! Did they give you any timeline for when your claim might be processed after receiving the documents?

@helpful_guidance Yes! The agent said once they have the employment verification documents, it typically takes 5-7 business days to update in the system. She also added a note to my file about the verification issues I was having. Feeling much more hopeful now!
