DEO call back success! Critical 7:30AM timing trick for getting through

Just wanted to share a small victory with the DEO phone system that might help others! After 3 weeks of trying to get through about my missing payments from January 2025, I FINALLY managed to get into the callback queue this morning. The trick? You absolutely MUST call right at 7:30AM when their system opens. I tried calling at 8:00, 9:00, even 7:45 for weeks with no luck - always got the 'all representatives are busy' message and disconnected. Today I set an alarm for 7:25AM, had the number pre-dialed, and hit call exactly at 7:30AM. They put me in the callback queue with a 4+ hour wait time, but at least I'm in the system! Will update once they actually call me back to let y'all know if they can fix my claim that's been pending for weeks with no explanation. Fingers crossed!

Wait, you're saying you called EXACTLY at 7:30am and that worked? I've been calling randomly throughout the day for like 2 weeks about my claim showing 'adjudication in progress' forever. Never even knew there was a specific time that worked better! Did you call the main 1-833 number or one of the regional ones? Thanks for sharing this btw!!!

β€’

Yes, EXACTLY 7:30am! I called the main 1-833-FL-APPLY number. I think their system resets the queue at that time when they first open. I tried 8am sharp before thinking that would work but no luck. Has to be right when they open at 7:30. Hope it works for you too with your adjudication issue!

thx for posting! been trying for days with my locked account after the dumb id.me thing. gonna try 7:30 tomorrow morning

Good luck! The ID.me verification issues are so frustrating. Just make sure your phone is ready to dial at exactly 7:30 - even 7:31 might be too late with how quickly their queue fills up.

This is 100% accurate advice. I worked for DEO during the pandemic as a claims processor (left in 2022), and the call queue system resets at exactly 7:30AM. The system can only handle a certain number of callback requests, and it fills up within the first 1-2 minutes most days. By 7:32AM, you're likely going to hit the 'all representatives are busy' message. A few other tips from an ex-insider: 1. When they call back, have ALL your information ready - claimant ID, last 4 of SSN, employment history dates 2. Be specific about your issue - 'pending payments' is too vague, but 'claim stuck in adjudication since January 15th with monetary determination issue code LO14' gives the rep exactly what they need 3. Thursdays tend to have slightly lower call volumes than Mondays and Tuesdays Good luck with your callback - hope they resolve your payment issue!

Wow, thank you SO MUCH for this insider information! I have my callback scheduled for this afternoon, so this is super helpful. I'll make sure to be very specific about my claim being stuck since January 3rd with the monetary determination issue. Really appreciate these tips!

I tried this stupid 7:30 thing for THREE DAYS and still couldn't get through!!! DEO system is completely broken! Been waiting on payments since December and my kids are about to get evicted. This is ridiculous!!! Why can't they just hire enough people to answer the phones like a normal government agency?????

I'm really sorry you're going through this. I had a similar situation last month with an adjudication that wouldn't resolve. Have you tried the Claimyr service? It costs money but it was the only thing that worked for me after weeks of trying. They somehow get you through to a DEO agent quickly. Their website is claimyr.com and they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj It was literally the only way I could get through after trying everything else. Just sharing in case it helps your situation with your kids.

I just got my callback!!!! It took 5 hours and 20 minutes from when I called this morning, but a very nice lady named Marissa just helped me fix my claim issue. It was stuck in adjudication because my former employer contested my layoff (claiming I quit when I definitely didn't). She was able to override the hold since they had documentation from my employer that didn't match what they were claiming. My payments should process within 2-3 business days! The 7:30am trick DEFINITELY works. Thank you OP for sharing this tip!!!

Just a heads-up for everyone - this 7:30am technique does work, but you're still going to have a several hour wait for the callback. I've had success with this method twice (once for an ID.me verification issue and once for missing work search requirements). One thing to note: when they call back, it often shows as "Unknown Number" or "No Caller ID" on your phone. MAKE SURE YOU ANSWER even if you don't recognize the number during your expected callback window! If you miss their call, you'll have to start the whole process over again the next day at 7:30am. Also, while waiting for your callback, gather any documentation related to your claim - determination letters, emails, fact-finding questionnaires, work search records, etc. Having everything ready will make your call much more productive.

β€’

Thank you for the tip about the unknown number! They just called me back after about 4.5 hours and it was indeed showing as "Unknown Caller" - I almost ignored it! The rep was able to resolve my issue by manually reviewing my work search records that were apparently flagged incorrectly in their system. Payments should be released within 48 hours!

Has anyone who used this 7:30am trick actually gotten their issues RESOLVED or just callbacks? Because I've gotten callbacks twice but they just tell me "your claim is under review and there's nothing we can do to speed it up" which is completely useless information I already knew from the CONNECT website. It's been 9 weeks of "adjudication in progress" with zero movement!

It depends entirely on what's holding up your claim. If it's a standard adjudication issue (like employment separation reason, ability/availability questions, or income verification), a regular DEO agent can often resolve it during the call. However, if your claim has special circumstances like fraud flags, multiple employers disputing simultaneously, or complex wage investigations, those require escalation to specialized units that regular agents can't access directly. In those cases, the best they can do is add notes to your file and submit an escalation ticket. For those complex cases, you might need to specifically request a "supervisor escalation" or ask the agent to file an "adjudication expedite request" which puts your claim in front of the specialized team sooner.

@Taylor To I had the same experience at first - got callbacks but no resolution for weeks. What finally worked for me was asking the agent to specifically document WHY my claim was stuck and what exact steps needed to happen next. Don t'let them give you the generic under "review response." Ask them to pull up your claim notes and read you the most recent adjudication activity. Sometimes there s'a specific document or piece of information they re'waiting for that they never told you about. Also ask for a target "resolution date -" they might not give you one, but it forces them to actually look at what stage your claim is in rather than just giving you the standard runaround.

This is incredible advice! I've been struggling with DEO for 8 weeks trying to get through about my claim that's been stuck in "pending eligibility review" since early January. I had no idea there was a specific time window that actually worked. I've been calling randomly throughout the day like an idiot, usually around lunchtime thinking it might be less busy. Setting my alarm for 7:25AM tomorrow to try this. Really hoping it works because I'm behind on rent and my landlord is getting impatient. The worst part is not knowing WHY my claim is stuck or what they need from me - the CONNECT website just shows the same generic status with no explanation. Thank you for sharing this tip and congrats on getting through! Will definitely update if the 7:30AM trick works for me too.

@Emma Davis Good luck with the 7:30AM call tomorrow! I was in almost the exact same situation - pending "eligibility review for" weeks with zero explanation. That s'actually one of the issues that can usually be resolved during the callback if it s'something simple like missing wage verification or work search documentation. When you get your callback, make sure to ask the agent to tell you exactly what triggered the eligibility review - sometimes it s'just a system glitch that they can clear immediately. Also, if you re'behind on rent, ask about expedited processing for financial hardship cases - I ve'heard mixed results but it s'worth mentioning. Fingers crossed for you!

Thank you so much for sharing this! I've been calling DEO for 6 weeks about my claim that's been stuck in "monetary determination" status since mid-January. I had no idea there was a specific time that actually worked - I've been trying randomly throughout the day and always getting that awful "all representatives are busy" message before getting disconnected. Setting multiple alarms for tomorrow morning to try the 7:30AM trick. It's so frustrating that we have to jump through these hoops just to get basic information about our own claims, but I'm grateful you figured out this timing hack and shared it with everyone. Will definitely update if I manage to get through! Hopefully they can tell me what's holding up my monetary determination - I submitted all my wage documents weeks ago and haven't heard anything since.

0 coins

@Kaiya Rivera I was stuck in monetary determination for almost 2 months last year! That status usually means they re'verifying your wages with your previous employers or there s'a discrepancy between what you reported and what the employer reported. When you get through tomorrow fingers (crossed! ,)ask the agent to check if they re'waiting on a wage "verification response from" any of your employers - sometimes employers just ignore DEO s'requests for wage info and it sits there forever. If that s'the case, the agent can sometimes override it with your pay stubs or W2 as proof. Also bring up that you ve'been waiting 6 weeks - there are supposed to be timeframes for these determinations and they might be able to expedite it. Good luck with the 7:30AM call!

This is exactly what I needed to see! I've been calling DEO for over a month about my claim that's been stuck in "fact-finding" status since late December. I keep getting the automated message saying all reps are busy and then it just hangs up on me. I had no clue there was a specific time window that actually worked - I've been calling at random times during business hours thinking it didn't matter. Setting my alarm for 7:25AM tomorrow to try this 7:30AM trick. It's ridiculous that we have to figure out these little hacks just to talk to someone about our own unemployment benefits, but I'm so grateful you shared this timing tip with everyone. My fact-finding questionnaire was about my separation reason (I was laid off due to company downsizing), and I submitted all the documentation they requested weeks ago but haven't heard anything since. Hopefully when I get through they can tell me what's holding things up or if they need additional information. Will definitely update tomorrow if the 7:30AM timing works for me too. Thanks again for posting this - gives me hope that I might actually get some answers soon!

β€’

@Ethan Campbell Fact-finding for separation reason should be one of the easier issues to resolve once you get through! Since you were laid off due to company downsizing, that s'typically a qualifying separation reason. When you get your callback tomorrow, have your layoff documentation ready - termination letter, WARN notice if applicable, or any email/letter from your employer explaining the downsizing. Sometimes the delay is just because they re'waiting for your employer to respond to their fact-finding questionnaire too, and the agent might be able to see if that s'what s'holding things up. If your employer hasn t'responded after this long, they can often make a determination based on your documentation alone. The 7:30AM trick definitely works - just make sure to answer that unknown number when they call back! Good luck!

This is amazing advice - thank you for sharing! I've been stuck trying to get through to DEO for almost 2 months about my claim that's been in "adjudication pending" status since early January. I had absolutely no idea there was a specific time window that actually worked. I've been calling at completely random times throughout the day, sometimes even trying late afternoon thinking it might be less busy (clearly that was wrong!). I'm definitely setting multiple alarms for 7:25AM tomorrow to try this 7:30AM trick. It's honestly frustrating that we have to figure out these little timing hacks just to get basic customer service for our own unemployment claims, but I'm so grateful you took the time to share this with everyone. My claim got stuck after I moved from Broward to Orange County and had to update my address - apparently that triggered some kind of review flag in their system. I've submitted all the address verification documents they requested but haven't heard anything back in weeks. Hopefully when I get through they can explain what's causing the delay or if they need additional documentation. Will definitely update tomorrow if the 7:30AM timing actually gets me into the callback queue! This gives me the first real hope I've had in weeks that I might actually get some answers soon. Thanks again for figuring this out and sharing it!

@Jayden Hill I had a very similar issue when I moved counties last year! Address changes can definitely trigger review flags in their system, but it s'usually something they can resolve pretty quickly once you actually get to talk to someone. When you get your callback tomorrow fingers (crossed the 7:30AM trick works for you! ,)make sure to have all your address verification documents ready - lease agreement, utility bills, DMV records, whatever you submitted. Sometimes they just need to manually verify that your new address is in a valid Florida county for benefits. The good news is that address verification issues are typically much simpler to resolve than employment separation disputes or wage calculation problems. Hopefully you ll'get this sorted out quickly once you finally get through to an agent!

This is such valuable information! I've been trying to reach DEO for 3 weeks about my claim that's been stuck in "reemployment assistance eligibility review" since February 10th. I had no idea there was a specific time window that actually worked - I've been calling at random times during the day and always getting that frustrating "all representatives are busy" message before it disconnects. I'm absolutely going to try the 7:30AM trick tomorrow morning. It's crazy that we have to figure out these timing hacks just to get basic customer service, but I'm so grateful you shared this tip! My claim got flagged because I had a brief contract position between my regular W2 job and filing for unemployment, and apparently that triggered some kind of review. I submitted all the documentation they requested about the contract work weeks ago but haven't heard anything back. Reading through all these success stories gives me real hope that I might finally get some answers. Will definitely update if the 7:30AM timing works for me too. Thank you for taking the time to share this - it's helping so many people!

@Mohammad Khaled Contract work between W2 employment can definitely complicate things, but it s'totally resolvable once you get through to an agent! I had a similar situation last year with some freelance work that triggered a review. When you get your callback tomorrow really (hope the 7:30AM trick works for you! ,)make sure to have all your contract documentation ready - the 1099 if you got one, any invoices or payment records, and especially the exact dates the contract work started and ended. The tricky part is they need to verify that you properly reported the contract income during your benefit weeks and that it didn t'make you ineligible during those periods. Sometimes it s'just a matter of them manually reviewing the timeline to confirm everything lines up correctly. Contract work reviews usually take longer than regular employment verification, but they re'definitely solvable. Good luck with the call tomorrow - fingers crossed you finally get some movement on your claim!

This is incredibly helpful information! I've been struggling to get through to DEO for over 6 weeks about my claim that's been stuck in "identity verification pending" since late January. I've been calling at completely random times - sometimes mid-morning, sometimes afternoon - and always getting that automated "all representatives are busy" message before it disconnects me. The 7:30AM timing trick makes so much sense now that I think about it - of course their queue resets right when they open! I've been doing this all wrong. Setting multiple alarms for tomorrow morning to try this. My issue started after the ID.me verification process glitched and somehow created a duplicate account, so now my benefits are frozen while they try to sort out which account is the "real" one. I have all my documentation ready but just need to actually talk to a human being to explain what happened. Really appreciate you sharing this timing hack and all the follow-up tips from everyone else in the comments. This thread is more helpful than anything I've found on the official DEO website! Will definitely update if I manage to get through tomorrow. Fingers crossed this finally gets me some movement after weeks of being stuck in limbo.

@Mateo Sanchez The ID.me duplicate account issue is actually pretty common - I ve'seen several people in other threads deal with this exact problem! When you get through tomorrow with the 7:30AM trick, make sure to have both account details ready if possible email (addresses used, verification dates, etc. .)The DEO agent should be able to see both accounts in their system and merge/deactivate the duplicate one. Sometimes they can resolve ID.me verification issues immediately during the call by manually overriding the system flag. The key is explaining that you didn t'intentionally create two accounts - the system glitched during verification. ID verification holds are usually one of the faster issues to resolve once you actually get a human on the phone, so hopefully you ll'have good news tomorrow! Good luck with the 7:30AM call - the timing trick really does work!

This is exactly what I needed to see! I've been calling DEO for almost 2 months about my claim that's been stuck in "pending - unresolved issues" since mid-January. Like everyone else, I've been calling at random times during the day and getting nowhere. The 7:30AM timing makes perfect sense - their system probably gets overwhelmed within minutes of opening. I'm definitely trying this tomorrow morning. My claim got flagged because my previous employer is disputing my separation reason (they're claiming I was terminated for cause when I was actually laid off due to budget cuts). I have all my documentation ready including my layoff notice and emails about the company restructuring. Reading all these success stories gives me real hope for the first time in weeks! It's frustrating that we have to figure out these timing tricks just to access basic government services, but I'm so grateful you shared this with everyone. @Omar Zaki Employer disputes about separation reason can be really tricky, but having your layoff documentation will definitely help your case! When you get your callback tomorrow really (hope the 7:30AM trick works for you! ,)make sure to emphasize that you have written proof of the layoff - that layoff notice and company restructuring emails are exactly what the DEO agent will need to see. Sometimes employers dispute claims just to try to avoid paying higher unemployment taxes, even when the separation was clearly a layoff. The agent should be able to review your documentation and potentially override the employer s'dispute if your evidence is solid. Employer separation disputes can take a while to fully resolve since they sometimes need to contact the employer directly, but at least getting in touch with an agent tomorrow should give you a clear timeline and next steps. Fingers crossed the 7:30AM timing gets you through - this thread has given me so much hope too after being stuck in DEO limbo myself!

This is such a game changer! I've been calling DEO for 5 weeks about my claim that's been stuck in "benefit year end review" since February 1st. I had no idea there was a specific time window that actually worked - I've been calling at random times throughout the day, usually around 10am or 2pm, and always getting that dreaded "all representatives are busy" disconnect message. I'm absolutely setting my alarm for 7:25AM tomorrow to try this 7:30AM trick. It makes total sense that their queue resets right when they open and fills up within minutes. My claim got stuck because I'm approaching my benefit year end date and they need to determine if I qualify for a new claim or an extension, but I can't get any information about what documents they need or what the timeline looks like. This thread has been more helpful than anything on the official DEO website or calling the automated line! Thank you so much for sharing this timing hack and congrats on getting your callback. Reading all these success stories actually gives me hope that I might get some real answers tomorrow instead of just staring at the same generic status message for another week. Will definitely update if the 7:30AM method works for me too!

@Dylan Campbell Benefit year end reviews can be confusing but they re'usually pretty straightforward once you get through to someone! I went through this exact situation about 8 months ago. When you get your callback tomorrow fingers (crossed the 7:30AM trick works for you too! ,)the agent should be able to tell you immediately whether you have enough wages in your base period to qualify for a new claim or if you ll'need to go on an extension. Make sure to have your recent pay stubs or W2s handy if you worked at all during your benefit year - sometimes even part-time work can affect your eligibility for a new claim. The good news is that benefit year end determinations are typically resolved much faster than adjudication issues since it s'mostly just a calculation review. Really hope you get through tomorrow and finally get some clarity on your situation! This 7:30AM timing trick has been a lifesaver for so many people.

@Danielle Mays Gig work like DoorDash can definitely complicate eligibility determinations, but it s'totally resolvable once you get through! I had a similar situation with some Uber driving between jobs last year. When you get your callback tomorrow really (hoping the 7:30AM trick works for you! ,)make sure to have all your DoorDash earnings documentation ready - the 1099 you mentioned, plus any weekly/daily earnings summaries if you have them. The key thing they ll'need to verify is that your gig work didn t'make you ineligible during specific weeks when you were claiming benefits. Sometimes the delay is just because they need to manually calculate how your gig earnings affected your weekly benefit amounts. Since you submitted everything weeks ago, the agent should be able to review it quickly and hopefully clear the eligibility determination flag. Gig work reviews can be tedious but they re'usually straightforward once a human actually looks at your case. Good luck with the 7:30AM call tomorrow - this timing hack has been a game changer for so many people in this thread!
