CDLE denied my claim saying no income proof - but I have it! What now?
My unemployment claim was denied because they said I didn't show income, but I have plenty of proof. Has anyone else dealt with this? What should I do next? I'm really frustrated because I know I have the documentation they need.

Ugh, I've been there. It's so annoying when they mess up like this. Here's what you need to do: 1. Gather all your income documents (pay stubs, W-2s, tax returns) 2. Call the unemployment office ASAP 3. Explain the situation calmly but firmly 4. Ask how you can submit the additional proof 5. Get the name of who you spoke to and a reference number 6. Follow up in writing (email or fax) with a summary of the call 7. Keep calling until it's resolved Don't give up! The system is a mess, but you gotta fight for what you're owed. Good luck!

•This is solid advice 💯 I'd add: document EVERYTHING. Every call, email, letter. It'll save ur butt if things get messy

•Yep, and don't forget to check your states appeals process. Sometimes you gotta go that route if they keep messing up

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/W4S1W6V2hOQ

•Sounds sketchy. Is this legit? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

•Yeah, I'm curious too. How does it work exactly? Do they have some kind of special access?

•It's totally legit! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. They use an AI system to navigate the phone tree and wait on hold. When a real person answers, it connects to your phone. Worth every penny IMO.

Have you tried faxing your documents? Sometimes that works better than calling or emailing. Old school but effective lol

I had the exact same problem last year. Turns out they hadnt recieved my w-2 from one employer. Check if all your income sources are accounted for in there system.

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the phone, try reaching out to your state representative's office. They often have contacts in the unemployment office and can help push things along.

•Yep! They're there to help constituents navigate government services. Just google '[your area] state representative' and give their office a call.
