SDI not sending continued payments, told to call back. Tips for reaching right department?

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle with SDI. They told me to call back about not receiving my continued payments, but I'm worried about getting through to the right department. Anyone else dealt with this? Any tips on making sure I reach the SDI folks and not get bounced around?

I found a way to solve SDI continued payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4jLu4GbUp0

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been there and it's so frustrating. Make sure you clearly state you need the SDI department as soon as you get someone on the line. Sometimes they try to transfer you to the wrong place if you're not specific.

This! 👆 I wasted like 2 hours getting transferred to the wrong departments before I learned to be super clear upfront.

Yep, happened to me too. Now I just repeat "SDI department please" like a broken record until they get it right lol

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. (https://claimyr.com

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? How long did you have to wait?

It worked for me! I waited about 2 hours, but I was able to do other stuff while the service was on hold. When they connected me, I got right through to an agent.

$20 seems steep just to make a phone call. Is it really worth it?

For me it was. I spent days trying to get through on my own. This saved me so much time and frustration. But yeah, it's not cheap.

Have you tried calling right when they open? I've had better luck getting through early in the morning.

Make sure you have all your info ready when you call. Claim number, last payment date, etc. It'll help speed things up once you finally get someone on the line.

This is solid advice. I always forget something and end up scrambling while on the phone 🤦‍♂️

I've been dealing with SDI for months now, and here's what I've learned: • Always, ALWAYS specify you need the SDI department. Be polite but firm. • Call early in the morning or right before lunch. These times seem to have shorter wait times. • Have all your documents ready: claim number, last payment info, any letters they've sent you. • If you get disconnected (it happens), call back immediately. Sometimes you can get right back in. • Keep a log of who you talk to and what they say. It helps if you need to follow up later. • If one agent can't help, politely ask to speak with a supervisor. • Be patient. The system is overwhelmed, but most agents genuinely want to help. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but persistence pays off!

Wish I had this advice when I started my claim. Would've saved me so much headache!

The log idea is brilliant. I always forget what they tell me by the time I need to call back 🤦‍♀️

Anyone else feel like the whole system is designed to make us give up? It's like they're hoping we'll just stop trying to get our benefits 🙄

Preach! 🙌 Sometimes I wonder if it's incompetence or intentional...

Nah, I think they're just overwhelmed. But yeah, it sure feels that way sometimes.

Pro tip: if you cant get through on the main line, try calling your local assemblymember's office. They often have direct lines to EDD and can help push your case forward.

This actually works! My assemblymember's office got my issue resolved in a week after I spent months trying on my own.

I tried that once. Took them 3 weeks to reply and they just told me to call anyway 🤷‍♂️

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Been trying to get my continued payments for weeks now. This whole system is a joke tbh
