Locked out of EDD account after wrong password - Help!

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I accidentally entered the wrong password for my online unemployment account and now I'm locked out. The reset prompt isn't familiar to me either. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get back into my account would be really appreciated!

I found a way to solve unemployment account lockout issues, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mVS2a2cfNA

Ugh, been there done that. It's so frustrating when you get locked out of your account. Have you tried calling the EDD helpline? They should be able to verify your identity and help you reset your password.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been trying to call but the lines are always busy. It's like trying to win the lottery just to talk to someone 😫

Pro tip: call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and everything. Sometimes you can get through if youre one of the first callers of the day.

That's a good idea! I'll give it a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Have you checked if theres a way to reset your password through email? Sometimes they have that option buried somewhere on the login page.

This happened to me last month. Here's what worked for me: 1. Go to the EDD website 2. Click on 'Forgot Password' 3. Enter your username and the last 4 digits of your SSN 4. Answer your security questions 5. Create a new password If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to call them. Good luck!

Thanks for the detailed steps! I tried this but got stuck at the security questions. I think I might have forgotten the answers I used 🤦‍♂️

Oof, that's rough. Yeah, you're probably gonna have to call them then. Hang in there!

Preach! 🙌 It's like they're trying to make it as difficult as possible.

For real. It's 2023, why can't they have a better system? 🤔

Have you tried resetting your password through the mobile app? Sometimes it's easier than the website.

I didn't even know there was a mobile app! I'll check it out, thanks for the tip!

Word of advice: once you get back in, write down your password somewhere safe. I learned that lesson the hard way lol
