I've been on hold for a few hours and now it's past 5pm. EDD is closed. What happens now that I'm still on hold and if I hang up? Do I get a free callback for being on hold after hours?

If you're still on hold after 8PM, you'll likely get disconnected since that's when EDD closes. Unfortunately, there's no automatic callback system for being on hold after hours - you'll need to call back the next business day. I'd recommend trying to call first thing in the morning around 8AM when they open, as the lines tend to be less busy then. Some people have had luck using the shortcuts others have shared in this thread to get through faster.
