Got denied PFL because of insufficient documents. I submitted the Voluntary Decleration of Parentage and the Verification Letter which were the only documents given by the hospital. Birth certificate was not available during the time I submitted my claim. Do I need to file an appeal or will EDD let me resubmit a qualifying document? I haven’t been paid in a month.

Did your medical provider do their portion in the PFL form? This website give you more information about PFL. https://edd.ca.gov/pdf_pub_ctr/de2501f-sample.pdf Let me know if you are able to see it.

I assume they have because they are only asking for a birth certificate which I have now, it just wasn’t ready when I submitted a claim. Really sucks
