EDD payment history showing no name - need for SNAP certification

I'm trying to certify for SNAP benefits and need to show my EDD unemployment payment history for July with my name visible as proof of income. I found my payment history in UI Online that shows all my July payments, but my actual NAME isn't showing anywhere on these statements! The county worker specifically said they need to see my name and payment amounts on the same document. Where exactly in UI Online can I find a statement or printout that has both my name AND payment history? Getting desperate because my SNAP recertification is due in 3 days and I don't want to lose my food assistance.

You need to download your payment history as a PDF. Log into UI Online, go to 'Claim History' on the left side menu, then click 'Payment History'. From there, look for an option to download or print the page. The generated PDF should have your name at the top. If that doesn't work, you can also request an official proof of income statement through the 'Contact EDD' feature - but that might take a few days to process.

Thank you! I found the Claim History section but don't see any obvious download button. Is it only visible on desktop? I've been trying on my phone.

What did you end up doing? Did you find a solution?

When I needed this for housing assistance, I took screenshots of BOTH my profile page (showing my name) and then the payment history page, and submitted them together. My caseworker accepted that as proof. You might try calling your SNAP caseworker to ask if they'd accept that method too.

That's actually really smart! I'll try that approach and call my caseworker tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed!

The EDD system is deliberately designed to make it hard to get simple documentation. I've been dealing with them for 6 months and EVERY SINGLE THING requires jumping through hoops!!! Try calling them directly and requesting an official income verification letter - that will definitely have your name and payment amounts.

This is actually good advice. The income verification letter is the most official document and what most government programs prefer. But calling EDD directly can be nearly impossible these days with their call volume.

Have u tried clicking on each individual payment? When u click on a specific payment it opens more details and sometimes shows different info including ur name at top. worth trying

If you're struggling to reach EDD to get the proper documentation, I'd recommend trying Claimyr (claimyr.com). I was in a similar situation trying to get income verification for my apartment application, and after trying for days to reach EDD, Claimyr got me connected to an actual EDD representative in about 20 minutes. They have a video demo showing how it works: https://youtu.be/JmuwXR7HA10?si=TSwYbu_GOwYzt9km. The rep I spoke with emailed me an official income verification letter the same day which had everything my landlord needed - name, payment history, claim amounts.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've been trying to call EDD all morning with no luck. I'll check out that service if I can't get through by end of day since my deadline is coming up fast.

For future reference, here's the exact procedure for getting an income verification document from EDD with your name and payment history: 1. Log into UI Online 2. Select 'Contact EDD' from the menu 3. Choose 'Ask EDD' 4. Select 'Unemployment Insurance Benefits' as the category 5. Select 'Payments' as the sub-category 6. Select 'Request for Income Verification' as the topic They typically send the verification letter within 5-10 business days. If you need it urgently, calling is fastest but as others mentioned, getting through is challenging. For your immediate SNAP recertification, the screenshot method mentioned above is your best option. Most county SNAP workers understand the EDD documentation challenges and will accept alternative proof.

UPDATE: I followed the advice about taking screenshots of both my profile page and payment history page, then called my SNAP caseworker. She said that would be acceptable as long as I could also email her my EDD account number separately for verification. Just submitted everything and she confirmed it's sufficient! Thanks everyone for your help - saved my benefits!

That's awesome news! I'm so relieved for you that the screenshot method worked. This is exactly the kind of practical solution that helps people navigate these bureaucratic nightmares. Your experience will definitely help others in similar situations - the EDD documentation process is so unnecessarily complicated, but knowing that SNAP caseworkers are often understanding about these issues is really valuable info. Glad you didn't lose your benefits!

This is such great news! It's really encouraging to see that there are practical workarounds for these frustrating EDD documentation issues. I'm dealing with a similar situation for my housing voucher application and was getting so stressed about it. Your post gives me hope that my caseworker might also be understanding about the EDD system's limitations. Thanks for sharing the update - it's exactly what people in this community need to hear!

This thread is exactly what this community is about - people helping each other navigate these impossible government systems! I went through something similar for my Medicaid renewal and the EDD website made me want to throw my computer out the window. The fact that they don't automatically include your name on payment history documents is just mind-boggling. @StormChaser so glad you got it sorted out! For anyone else reading this, definitely save Connor's step-by-step instructions for requesting official income verification - that's gold right there. And the screenshot method is brilliant for urgent situations. These are the real-world solutions we all need!

Absolutely agree! This community really shines when we share these practical workarounds. I've been lurking here for months dealing with my own EDD nightmare, and seeing posts like this with actual solutions gives me so much hope. The fact that @StormChaser came back to update everyone shows what this community is all about - we're all in this together trying to navigate these broken systems. I'm definitely bookmarking Connor's instructions and the screenshot method. Thanks to everyone who contributed real solutions instead of just complaining (though the complaining is totally valid too lol).

This is such a helpful thread! I'm bookmarking this for future reference. The EDD system is absolutely broken when it comes to basic documentation - the fact that your name doesn't automatically appear on payment history is ridiculous. I love that everyone jumped in with actual solutions instead of just venting (though the venting is totally justified!). The screenshot method is genius for urgent situations, and having those step-by-step instructions for the official income verification request is incredibly valuable. This is exactly why communities like this are so important - we have to help each other navigate these impossible bureaucratic mazes. Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences and solutions!

Yes! This thread is a perfect example of what makes this community so valuable. I'm new here but already seeing how people actually help each other with real solutions instead of just complaining about the system (though we all know the complaints are 100% justified!). The EDD documentation issues are so frustrating - it's like they designed the system to make it as hard as possible to get basic proof of your own benefits. I'm definitely saving all these tips, especially the screenshot method and Connor's detailed instructions. It's amazing how @StormChaser came back to update everyone with the good news too - that's the kind of community spirit that really makes a difference when we're all struggling with these broken government systems!

This whole thread is a masterclass in community problem-solving! I've been dealing with EDD for months and the documentation hurdles are absolutely maddening. What really stands out to me is how @StormChaser got multiple practical solutions AND came back to update everyone - that's the kind of pay-it-forward mentality that makes this community so valuable. The screenshot method is brilliant for time-sensitive situations, and I'm definitely saving Connor's step-by-step guide for the official income verification. It's wild that in 2025 we still have to hack our way around basic government documentation, but at least we have each other's backs. For anyone else struggling with EDD docs - this thread proves there's always a workaround if you ask the right people!

Exactly! This is my first time posting here and I'm blown away by how supportive everyone is. I've been struggling with EDD documentation for weeks and was getting nowhere until I found this thread. The way @StormChaser shared their problem and everyone jumped in with real solutions - not just sympathy but actual step-by-step help - is incredible. I'm dealing with a similar issue for my CalFresh renewal next month and now I feel so much more prepared. The screenshot method is going to be my backup plan, and I'm definitely going to try the official income verification request that @ConnorONeill laid out. It's crazy that we have to become experts in navigating these broken systems just to get basic documentation, but having a community like this makes it so much less overwhelming. Thank you everyone for being so generous with your knowledge!

Just wanted to jump in as someone who's been through this exact nightmare multiple times! The EDD documentation system is absolutely broken - I've never understood why they don't just automatically include your name on payment history pages. It's such a basic requirement for any official document. I love seeing how this community rallied around @StormChaser with actual solutions! The screenshot method is pure genius for urgent deadlines, and having those detailed instructions for requesting official income verification is going to help so many people. I've shared this thread with friends who are also dealing with benefit renewals. It's incredible how we have to become amateur bureaucracy experts just to access our own information, but threads like this prove we're stronger when we help each other navigate these impossible systems. Bookmarking this for sure!

This is such a perfect example of why this community exists! I'm relatively new here but have been lurking for weeks dealing with my own EDD issues, and seeing how everyone came together to help @StormChaser is just amazing. The fact that something as basic as getting your NAME on a payment history document requires multiple workarounds is absolutely insane. I'm definitely saving all these solutions - the screenshot method for emergencies and the official request process for when I have more time. It's so frustrating that we have to become experts at navigating these broken systems, but at least we don't have to figure it out alone. Thanks to everyone who shared their knowledge and especially to @StormChaser for coming back with the success update!

This thread is such a lifesaver! I'm currently going through the exact same situation for my CalWORKs recertification and was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why my name wasn't showing up anywhere on the EDD payment history. The screenshot method is brilliant - I never would have thought to combine the profile page with the payment history page. It's absolutely ridiculous that in 2025 we still have to jump through these hoops for basic documentation. @StormChaser thanks so much for sharing your experience and coming back with the update! Knowing that SNAP caseworkers are understanding about these EDD issues gives me hope for my own situation. I'm going to try calling my CalWORKs worker tomorrow with the same approach. This community is amazing - actual practical solutions that work in the real world!
