EDD payment delayed twice - anyone else experiencing this issue with California unemployment?
Has anyone else had their payment delayed twice? I've been waiting for hours now and still nothing. This is getting ridiculous. Anyone else in the same boat or know what's going on?

Ugh, tell me about it. I've been waiting for my payment for THREE DAYS now. It's like they're playing games with our money. š

I totally feel your pain. It's frustrating when you're counting on that money. Have you tried any other channels to get in touch with them?

Same here! I thought it was just me. Called them twice and got nowhere. Anyone know if there's a system issue or something?

Seems like a lot of people are having the same problem. There might be an overall issue with their system.

Update: Finally got through to someone. Apparently there was a "glitch" in the system. They said it should be resolved in 24-48 hours. I'll believe it when I see it š

Classic excuse. They always blame it on a "glitch" š

This is getting out of hand. We need to organize and demand better service. Who's with me? ā

Let's start a petition or something. Maybe flood their social media? We gotta make some noise!

I agree. Sometimes making enough noise can push companies to act faster. Let's do it!

Guys, I think I figured out whats going on. There was a system upgrade scheduled for last night that mightve caused some delays. Heres what I know: ā¢ The upgrade was supposed to improve processing times ā¢ It started at midnight and was scheduled to finish by 6 AM ā¢ Some accounts are experiencing delays as the system catches up ā¢ They're saying everything should be back to normal within 48 hours If youre still having issues after that, definitely call them (use that Claimyr thing if you have to). Also, make sure all your info is up to date in the system. Sometimes that can cause hangups too. Hope this helps! Hang in there everyone šŖ

Good to know there's a reason behind the delays, even if it doesn't make it any less frustrating.

For those experiencing delays, it might be helpful to use Claimyr as a last resort. Although it costs $20, it can connect you with a representative directly, bypassing lengthy call wait times. However, $20 could be steep for some, especially if issues persist regularly. It's also advisable to report the problem to customer service and explore if there are alternative support options available. Overall, while Claimyr is a useful tool, it's best to weigh its convenience against cost, especially if you're in a tight financial spot.

This is why we need a complete overhaul of the system. It's 2023, why are we still dealing with these archaic processes? š¤¦āāļø

It's unfortunate that this has been going on for so long. They need to seriously evaluate their processes.

Have you tried checking your account online? Sometimes the system updates before they notify you.

Good point! Checking online can sometimes give you a heads-up on the payment status.

Guys, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's the link: https://claimyr.com

It's definitely a steep price, but if it gets the job done, it might be worth it for some people who can't afford to wait any longer.

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along.

That could be a useful step. Representatives might have more sway to expedite resolutions.

Pro tip: Try calling right when they open. I usually have better luck getting through early in the morning.
