EDD SDI payments 2 months late - anyone else waiting or have advice?

Has anyone else been waiting forever for their payments to arrive? I've been waiting for 2 months now and still nothing. Two payments were supposed to be sent but I haven't received a dime. This is so frustrating! Anyone else in the same boat or know what I should do?

I found a way to solve EDD payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NTUdQQQ5bA

Have you tried faxing them? I know it sounds ancient, but I heard it can sometimes work when nothing else does.

Faxing? What year is it, 1995? 🤣 But at this point, I'm desperate enough to try anything. Thanks for the tip!

Can confirm, faxing worked for me! Took a week but I finally got a response. Worth a shot!

Yep, faxing seems old school, but sometimes it's the only way to get through to these outdated systems.

Have you checked your claim status online? Sometimes there's info there about why payments are delayed.

0 coins

-

Sofia Morales

Yeah, I've checked but it just says 'pending' with no other info. So frustrating!

Ugh, that sucks. The whole system is a joke tbh. Hope you get it sorted soon!

Same issue here! I think the system gets jammed up with too many pending claims. Hang in there!

guys. we need to organize and do something about this. its not ok that were all struggling while they sit on our money. who's with me?

I'm in! What do you suggest we do?

Count me in too. This is getting ridiculous.

Let's start a petition and flood their social media. Maybe even organize a protest outside EDD offices. We need to make noise!

Organizing sounds like a great idea. We need to hold them accountable!

unpopular opinion: maybe we should be grateful for what we get? i mean, at least were getting something eventually...

Bruh, are you for real? People have bills to pay and families to feed. We can't wait forever.

Jeez, I'm just trying to look on the bright side. No need to attack me.

I get where you're coming from, but it's tough to stay positive when you're struggling to make ends meet.

OK, let me break this down for you. I've been through this rodeo before and here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them, including dates and times. 2. Check your spam folder. Sometimes payments notifications end up there. 3. Contact your local representative or senator. They often have staff dedicated to helping with EDD issues. 4. If you haven't already, file an appeal. Even if you don't think you need to, it can sometimes kickstart the process. 5. Keep certifying for benefits every two weeks, even if you're not getting paid. 6. Join Facebook groups or other online communities for unemployment support. Sometimes you can get insider tips. 7. As a last resort, consider the paid calling service others have mentioned. It's not ideal, but it might be worth it if you're desperate. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! The system is overwhelmed but you WILL get your money eventually.

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll definitely try these steps. Really appreciate it! 🙏

Great advice! I'd add: make sure all your info is up to date in the system. A friend of mine had payments delayed cuz of an old address.

For real, double checking your information can save a lot of headaches. It's surprising what small errors can hold up payments.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been waiting for 3 months now. Its like they just forgot about us or something. Have you tried calling them?

0 coins

-

Sofia Morales

Yeah, I've tried calling but it's impossible to get through. Always busy or they hang up on me. 😤

Same here. I've called like 50 times and nothing. This system is so broken.

Honestly, I think they're just understaffed and overwhelmed. I've heard of people having better luck calling at odd hours, like early morning or late evening.

I'm thinking of trying out Claimyr. Has anyone else had success with it? It seems like it could be a good way to cut down on wait times, but I'm hesitant about the cost.

-

Liam Mendez

I used Claimyr and it worked for me. It was a bit pricey, but I finally got through and got my issues resolved.

I'm still skeptical about paying for something like this, but if it works, it might be worth trying.

Pro tip: If you do manage to get through on the phone, be super nice to the rep. They deal with angry people all day and being kind can sometimes get you better results.

That's solid advice. A little kindness can go a long way.

This is why we need UBI. The current system is clearly not working.

0 coins

-

Yuki Tanaka

Preach! 🙌 UBI would solve so many problems.

0 coins

-

7M

Carmen Diaz

Yeah, but who's gonna pay for that? Nothing's free, my friend.

Implementing UBI would require careful planning, but it could definitely help in situations like this.

Plot twist: what if the payments were sent to a parallel universe where the EDD actually works efficiently? 🤔👽

0 coins

-

Sofia Morales

LOL if only! I'd love to visit that universe right about now 😂

Hey, has anyone tried reaching out to local news stations? They sometimes do stories on this stuff and it can light a fire under EDD's a**.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

-

Zainab Ismail

Wait, seriously? $20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous!

I know it sounds crazy, but after months of trying, it was worth it to me. Got my issue resolved in one call.

Idk man, sounds like a scam to me. How do we know this is legit?

0 coins

-

7M

Miguel Silva

I get the skepticism, but it's not a scam. They don't ask for any personal info, just your phone number to forward the call. You can look up reviews online.

I tried it too, and while it's not ideal to pay, it did help me finally resolve my issues. Just wish it was more accessible for everyone.

If you're facing severe financial hardship, consider applying for additional assistance programs. There are often local resources that can help while you're waiting for your payments.

That's a good point. I know some local charities that have been helping people in situations like ours.

If you're really stuck, try reaching out to the ombudsman or customer advocate within the EDD. They might be able to give your case the attention it needs.

0 coins

-

Isabella Brown

Good call! The ombudsman helped me once. They're usually pretty responsive.
