EDD keeps me waiting forever - can't get through to anyone. Help!

I've been waiting forever to get my problem solved with EDD. They just keep me waiting and I can't even get through to talk to someone. Has anyone else had this issue? How did you finally get someone on the phone?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I was in the same boat for weeks. It's like they don't even want to help us. 🤬

Weeks? Try months! I've been trying since March and still nothing. This system is a joke.

Have you guys tried calling right when they open? I heard thats the best time to get through

Yeah, I've tried that. No luck. It's like playing the lottery, except you never win. 🎰🙅‍♂️

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/0UZGuPWGErg

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure its legit?

Yep, 100% legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

How long did you have to wait after using the service?

It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They called me when an agent was ready. Way better than wasting a whole day trying to get through.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for months: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. 2. Try different times of day. Early morning or late afternoon sometimes works better. 3. Use the online portal as much as possible for simple issues. 4. If you get through, ask for a direct number or extension for follow-ups. 5. Document EVERYTHING. Names, dates, what was said. 6. Consider reaching out to your local assembly member for help. Hope this helps someone. Stay strong, we're all in this together! 💪

This is gold! Thanks for sharing your experience. The assembly member tip is especially helpful.

Great advice! I'd add: be super nice to the reps when you do get through. They're overwhelmed too.

I finally got through last week after trying for a month. Here's what worked for me: I called exactly at 8:01 AM, pressed 1 for English, then 2, 4. If you hear 'thank you for calling,' hang up and try again. Took me about 20 tries but I finally got in the queue. Good luck!

Has anyone tried faxing? I know it sounds old school, but I heard it might work.

Pro tip: if you have Twitter, try tweeting at EDD. Sometimes they respond faster there. Worth a shot!

This actually worked for me! Got a DM within a day and they helped sort out my issue. Thanks for the tip!
