EDD impossible to reach - any tips for getting through to a real person?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with EDD. I've been trying to get through to them for days but no luck. Has anyone else had issues getting in touch with a real person? It's so frustrating to be left hanging like this. Any advice on how to actually speak to someone would be really appreciated!

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been trying to reach them for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to get help 🙄

Weeks? Try months! I swear they're purposely making it difficult.

Same boat here. Its ridiculous how hard they make it to get basic help.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

How long did it take for them to call you back?

It took about 2 hours for me, but I've heard it can vary. Still way better than trying to get through yourself.

Have you tried calling right when they open? I've had some luck getting through that way.

I swear the EDD system is designed to make us give up. It's a joke at this point. 🤡

Preach! 🙌 It's like they're playing games with our livelihoods.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with EDD for months: 1. Be persistent. Call multiple times a day if you have to. 2. Try different numbers. Sometimes the main line is jammed but others might work. 3. Use the online portal to send messages. It's slow, but they do respond eventually. 4. Reach out to your local assembly member's office. They can sometimes expedite things. 5. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. 6. If all else fails, consider using a paid service like the one mentioned above. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process but don't give up!

Anyone else notice how the system always seems to 'crash' right when you finally get through? 🤔
