EDD claim status not updating on website - what to do?

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my claim status not updating on the website. I've made some recent changes and taken actions on my claim, but none of it is showing up online. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on what I should do? I'm thinking about calling them, but I'm not sure what to say.

Ugh, I've been there. It's so frustrating when the website doesn't reflect whats actually going on with your claim. Have you tried calling them? Sometimes the online system lags behind the actual updates.

I haven't called yet, but I'm thinking I might have to. Just dreading the long wait times 😩

Pro tip: call first thing in the morning when they open. You'll have a better chance of getting through quickly.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

How long did it take for them to call you back?

It took about 2 hours for me, but I've heard it can vary depending on how busy they are.

Here's what I would do: 1. Take screenshots of your current online status for documentation. 2. Call the claims office and explain the discrepancy. 3. Ask them to verify any recent updates or actions on your claim. 4. Request that they update the online status if necessary. 5. Get a reference number for your call. 6. Follow up via email or secure message on the website, referencing your call. Remember to be patient and polite. The person on the phone isn't personally responsible for the website issues. Good luck!

This is solid advice. I'd add: keep a log of all your calls and interactions. It can come in handy if you need to escalate later.

Have you checked if there's any system maintenance or known issues posted on their website? Sometimes they have alerts about delays in updates.

I didn't even think to check for that. I'll take a look, thanks!

I had a similar issue last month. Turns out there was a glitch in their system affecting a bunch of claims. It got resolved after about a week, but I had to call to get it sorted out. Might be worth asking if they're experiencing any known technical issues.

A week?! That's ridiculous. They really need to upgrade their systems.

Tell me about it. I was stressing the whole time. But at least it got fixed eventually.
