How to update account status after initial call? Need help ASAP!

Hey everyone, I'm trying to update my account status and I'm not sure how to go about it. I initially called to check on the status, but now I want to make some changes. Has anyone had experience with updating their account or changing their call details? Any advice would be appreciated!

Natasha Petrov

I've been there before. The whole process can be confusing af. What exactly are you trying to update? Might be able to help if you give more details.

Thanks for responding! I'm trying to change the type of call I initially requested. I think I might need a different service level, but I'm not sure how to modify it now that I've already submitted the request.

Ah gotcha. Yeah, changing stuff after submission can be a pain. Have you tried calling their customer service line directly? Sometimes talking to a real person is the only way to get things done šŸ™„

I haven't tried that yet. The hold times are usually insane tho šŸ˜« Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and give it a shot. Thanks for the suggestion!

Ugh, updating account info is THE WORST. I swear they make it complicated on purpose šŸ¤¬ Good luck, OP!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone without waiting forever. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Wow, that sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? How long did you have to wait?

It actually does work! I was skeptical at first too, but I got through in about 45 minutes. Way better than spending hours on hold myself.

Idk man, paying to get customer service seems kinda sketchy. Shouldn't this be free?

I get where youre coming from, but for me, time is money. I'd rather pay $20 than waste half my day on hold. To each their own tho šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Have you tried updating your account online? Sometimes theres options there that arent obvious when you call.

I looked into that, but the online system is so confusing. I couldn't find any option to change my call details once I'd submitted them. Maybe I'm just missing something obvious? šŸ¤”

Listen up, folks. I've been dealing with this system for years, and here's what I've learned: ā€¢ Always document everything. Keep a record of who you talked to, when, and what they said. ā€¢ If possible, use the online portal for simple updates. It's often faster than calling. ā€¢ If you must call, do it early in the morning or late in the evening. Hold times are usually shorter. ā€¢ Be persistent. Sometimes you have to call multiple times to get the right person who can actually help. ā€¢ If all else fails, reach out to your local representative. They often have direct lines to the department. Remember, the system is designed to be complicated. Don't get discouraged, just keep pushing through. You got this! šŸ’Ŗ

This is gold šŸ’Æ Wish I had known all this when I first started navigating the system. You should make this its own post!

Great advice, but its so frustrating that we even need these 'hacks' just to get basic service šŸ˜¤

Anyone else feel like were living in a kafka novel trying to deal with this stuff? šŸ¤”

LOL for real tho. Sometimes I think it'd be easier to build a time machine and go back to change my initial application than to update it now šŸ˜‚
