I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Pro tip: try calling the employer line instead of the claimant line. Sometimes you can get through faster and they can still help you with your claim.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help expedite EDD issues. Worth a shot!

Has anyone else noticed that the EDD website is always "down for maintenance" when you actually need to use it? 🙄 It's like they're trolling us at this point.

I heard they're updating the system soon to make it easier to get through. Anyone know if that's true or just another rumor?
