Can't find working EDD Sacramento phone number - need local office contact

Yeah they shut down all local office phone access in 2020 and never brought it back.

This is so frustrating. The old system where you could call local offices was so much better.

Appointment only. And you still need to call the main number to schedule it.

I tried walking in last month and they turned me away. Everything has to be scheduled through the 800 number first.

Usually 40-60 attempts just to get on hold. Then you're looking at 1.5-2 hour wait times.

And that's if the call doesn't drop. I've been disconnected after 2 hour holds multiple times.

Yeah, the security guard at the front desk said they get people asking for direct phone numbers all day. Doesn't exist anymore.

Yeah, they take lunch from 12-1:30 and basically nobody answers during that time.

Wednesday and Thursday afternoons are definitely the sweet spot for getting through.

Roseville and Sacramento both funnel through the same phone system though. No direct numbers there either.

Try calling at 7:55am before they officially open. Sometimes you can get in the queue early.

That early bird strategy works sometimes but you still need to redial dozens of times.

About 3 hours of solid redialing, then another 2 hours on hold. But I finally got my issue resolved.

That's dedication. I don't have 5 hours to spend on the phone unfortunately.

I'd call first to see if they're even doing in-person service that day. Hours seem to vary.
