Can't find working EDD Sacramento phone number - need local office contact
I've been searching everywhere for a direct EDD Sacramento phone number but keep getting conflicting information online. Some sites list old numbers that are disconnected, others just redirect to the main 800 line. I need to speak with someone about my claim that's been stuck for 3 weeks and the main number isn't helping - they keep transferring me around. Does anyone have a current Sacramento EDD office phone number that actually works? I'm willing to drive there in person if I have to but would prefer to call first.

There's no direct Sacramento office number anymore. All calls go through the main system now - 800-300-5616 or 833-978-0230. They consolidated everything during the pandemic.

•That's what I was afraid of. The main line has been impossible to get through on.

•Yeah they shut down all local office phone access in 2020 and never brought it back.

I spent 2 days trying to find a Sacramento EDD phone number before I realized they don't exist anymore. The 800 number is literally your only option for phone contact.

•This is so frustrating. The old system where you could call local offices was so much better.

•The local offices are still there but they only handle in-person appointments now, no phone support.

After weeks of trying the main EDD Sacramento phone number with no luck, I ended up using Claimyr. Got through in 25 minutes instead of spending days redialing. Sometimes you just have to pay for a solution that works.

•What's Claimyr? Is that legit or just another scam?

•It's a service that calls for you and connects you when they get an agent. Check out claimyr.com - saved me hours of calling.

The Sacramento EDD office on Power Inn Road still exists but you can't call them directly. You have to go through the main line and they'll transfer you if needed.

•Do you know if they take walk-ins or is everything by appointment only?

Connor O'Neill
•Appointment only. And you still need to call the main number to schedule it.

•I tried walking in last month and they turned me away. Everything has to be scheduled through the 800 number first.

Pro tip for the main EDD phone number: call right at 8am and use the pattern 1-wait-1-1-***. Don't waste time looking for Sacramento-specific numbers that don't exist.

Miguel Castro
•I've tried that pattern but keep getting the busy message. How many times do you usually have to redial?
0 coins
Yara Khalil
•Usually 40-60 attempts just to get on hold. Then you're looking at 1.5-2 hour wait times.

•And that's if the call doesn't drop. I've been disconnected after 2 hour holds multiple times.

I work downtown Sacramento and drove to the EDD office hoping for better service. Waste of time - they just told me to call the same 800 number everyone else uses.

Miguel Castro
•That's exactly what I was worried about. Thanks for saving me the trip.

•Yeah, the security guard at the front desk said they get people asking for direct phone numbers all day. Doesn't exist anymore.

For what it's worth, I've had slightly better luck calling the EDD Sacramento phone number (well, the main line) on Wednesday afternoons around 2pm. Avoid Monday mornings and the lunch hour completely.

•Good to know about timing. I've been calling randomly throughout the day.

LunarEclipse
•Yeah, they take lunch from 12-1:30 and basically nobody answers during that time.

•Wednesday and Thursday afternoons are definitely the sweet spot for getting through.

The whole Sacramento EDD phone number situation is a mess. I ended up having to drive to the Roseville office instead because at least they were taking some walk-ins for certain issues.
0 coins
Miguel Castro
•Roseville is taking walk-ins? That might be worth the drive for me.

Paolo Esposito
•This was a few weeks ago, so call ahead. But they seemed less strict about appointments than the Sacramento location.

Connor O'Neill
•Roseville and Sacramento both funnel through the same phone system though. No direct numbers there either.

I gave up trying to find a direct Sacramento EDD phone number and just used Claimyr like someone mentioned earlier. Got connected to an agent in under 30 minutes. Worth every penny.

•How much does Claimyr cost? I'm getting desperate enough to pay for help.

•I think it was around $20-30. Cheap compared to taking time off work to keep calling. There's a demo video at https://youtu.be/JmuwXR7HA10

•Same here. Best money I've spent in months. Beats calling 100 times a day.

My cousin works at the Sacramento EDD office and confirms there's no direct phone line to any local office anymore. Everything routes through the main system.

Miguel Castro
•That's straight from the source then. Thanks for confirming what everyone else is saying.

•She said it's been this way since 2020 and there's no plans to bring back local phone lines.

•Makes sense from their perspective but terrible for us trying to get help.

Stop looking for a Sacramento EDD phone number that doesn't exist. I wasted a week doing the same thing. The 800-300-5616 number is your only option.
0 coins
Miguel Castro
•Yeah, I'm starting to accept that reality. Just wish the main line wasn't so impossible to get through on.

•Try calling at 7:55am before they officially open. Sometimes you can get in the queue early.

LunarEclipse
•That early bird strategy works sometimes but you still need to redial dozens of times.

I actually got through to someone yesterday using the main EDD number after 67 attempts. They confirmed that all Sacramento area claims are handled through the central system now.

Miguel Castro
•67 attempts! How long did that take you?
0 coins
Javier Morales
•About 3 hours of solid redialing, then another 2 hours on hold. But I finally got my issue resolved.

Oliver Weber
•That's dedication. I don't have 5 hours to spend on the phone unfortunately.

For anyone still looking, I have the address for the Sacramento EDD office: 2901 50th Street. But like everyone said, no direct phone number. You have to call the main line first.

Miguel Castro
•Thanks for the address. Might be worth trying to show up even if they prefer appointments.

•I'd call first to see if they're even doing in-person service that day. Hours seem to vary.

•The Power Inn Road location is closer to downtown if that helps.

Third time mentioning Claimyr in this thread but seriously, it works. I tried finding a Sacramento EDD phone number for weeks before giving up and paying for the callback service.

Miguel Castro
•Alright, you guys have convinced me to try Claimyr. Better than wasting more days calling.

•Good choice. You'll kick yourself for not doing it sooner once you see how fast it works.

•Same reaction I had. Wish I'd found it weeks earlier.

Plot twist: I actually got through on my first try calling the main EDD number this morning at exactly 8:00am. Sometimes you get lucky, but don't count on it.
0 coins
Miguel Castro
•Wow, first try? That gives me hope. What menu options did you press?
0 coins
Isabella Ferreira
•1 for English, waited about a minute, then 1-1-***. Probably just got incredibly lucky with timing.

Yara Khalil
•That's like winning the lottery. I've never gotten through on the first attempt.

Just to summarize for anyone else searching: There is no direct Sacramento EDD phone number. All calls go to 800-300-5616. Best times are Wednesday/Thursday afternoons. Avoid lunch hour 12-1:30pm.

•Perfect summary. Thanks for saving other people the research time.

Update: Just tried the Sacramento EDD office in person. They have a security checkpoint and you need an appointment. Guard said 90% of people who show up are looking for phone numbers that don't exist.

Miguel Castro
•Thanks for the update. Saves me from making the same mistake.

•Yeah, stick with the main phone line or use one of those callback services people mentioned.

•Exactly what happened to me. Wasted a whole morning driving there.

My advice after months of trying: Don't waste time looking for Sacramento EDD phone numbers. Either commit to spending entire days redialing the main line, or pay for Claimyr to do it for you.
0 coins
Miguel Castro
•That seems to be the consensus. I'm going to try Claimyr tomorrow morning.

Freya Nielsen
•Smart choice. I spent more on gas and time off work than Claimyr would have cost.
0 coins
Keisha Brown
•Exactly. The time savings alone makes it worth the cost.

Final tip: If you do get through to the main EDD line, don't ask to be transferred to Sacramento specifically. They'll just tell you that all agents handle all regions now.
0 coins
Miguel Castro
•Good to know. I probably would have asked for Sacramento specifically.
0 coins
Omar Mahmoud
•Yeah, it just wastes time and confuses the agent. Just explain your issue directly.
0 coins
Javier Morales
•Agreed. The agent I talked to said location doesn't matter anymore for phone support.

Been following this thread all day. Clear consensus: no Sacramento EDD phone number exists, main line is brutal, Claimyr seems to work for people willing to pay. That about sum it up?

Miguel Castro
•That's exactly right. Thanks everyone for the advice. Going to try Claimyr first thing tomorrow.
