Hey everyone, I'm dealing with a disability insurance claim and I'm not sure what to expect. Has anyone gone through this process before? How long did it take for your claim to be processed? Any tips or advice would be really appreciated!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I just had a c-section and was on disability for a while. Now that my disability has ended, I refiled for Paid Family Leave (PFL) but haven't received anything yet. Has anyone else dealt with this? How long did it take for you to get your PFL after refiling post-disability? Any tips on speeding up the process would be really appreciated!
Not to be that person, but have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help speed things up with EDD.
Hey everyone, I'm trying to set up a new unemployment claim with EDD. My previous claim ended in March and I'm not sure how to proceed. Anyone have experience with this? Also, I'm worried about missing their call since they close soon. Any advice on what to discuss with the agent or how to make sure I don't miss their call would be really helpful!
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my disability insurance payment. I've calculated my benefit amount, but there's still a delay in getting paid. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to speed up the process or get in touch with someone who can help?
anyone else think its ridiculous we gotta jump through all these hoops just to get what we're entitled to? 🤔 the whole systems broken af
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle with my unemployment claim. I filed back in October and just got a notice saying I've received all the benefits payable. The thing is, I haven't hit the one-year mark yet, so I'm pretty sure I should still be eligible for more. Anyone else run into this? How did you get it sorted out?
Have you checked if you qualify for a claim extension? Sometimes they don't automatically apply it and you have to request it specifically.
OMG I'm literally dealing with the exact same thing rn! Filed in November, got the same notice last week. This thread is giving me life 😭 We're all in this sinking ship together I guess

Here's a comprehensive guide to navigating the disability insurance claim process: • Gather all medical records before filing • Submit claim as soon as possible • Keep copies of EVERYTHING you send • Follow up regularly (weekly is good) • If denied, don't give up - appeal! • Consider getting a lawyer if it drags on Remember, persistence is key. Don't let them wear you down. You've paid into this system, and you deserve the benefits when you need them. Stay strong!
